Brockow, Dorothy E. PORTAGE Mrs Dorothy E. (Jowett-Pinske) Brockow, age 70, of Portage died on Sunday, February 15, 1987, at University Hospitals in Madison. Dorothy Brockow was born on March 21, 1916, in Portage the daughter of Byron and Edith (Jahn) Jowett. She was married to Harry A.

Pinske who preceded her in death and was married to Carl Brockow In 1973. Mrs. Brockow had worked at Lore 1 1 Fashion in Portage. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Portage Boat Club.

Survivors Include her husband, Carl of Portage; her son, Richard H. (Vickie) Pinske, of Fort Worth, Texas; an aunt May Wolfram of Wisconsin Dells, a niece Joan Adams of Nashville Tennessee and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Hayes was born on November 19, 1921 at Horicon, and had been a Madison resident for the past 34 years. For the past 10 years, she had been a sales clerk at the Prange East Towne store. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Over 50 Club of the church. She Is survived by her husband, Robert F.

whom she married on March 3, 1951; a daughter, Mary Beth Cannon of Madison; a sister, Gladys Sauer of South Bend, Indiana; and two brothers. Jack Hayes of Milwaukee and Tim Hayes of Waupaca. Hollfelder, Fred C. CROSS PLAINS Fred C. Hollfelder, age 80, of 8453 Stagecoach Cross Plains, died on Sunday February 15, 1987, at a Madison hospital. He was born on June 11, 1906, In Waunakee, Wisconsin; and was a retired farmer in the Cross Plains area. Mr.

Hollfelder married the former Priscilla Bowar in Cross Plains, Wisconsin, on August 29, 1933. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society, and a 50 year member of the Catholic Knights. Mr. Hollfelder was a former town board member of the Town of Cross- Plains.

He Is survived by his wife; two sons, Roger (Laura) Hollfelder of Cross Plains, and Father Eugene (Bud) Hollfelder of Montfort, Wisconsin; a daughter, Elaine (Jack) Kroeger of Madison; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mike Rauls of Waunakee. He was preceded In death by a brother, Arthur; and a sister. Pancratia. Funeral services wil be held at ST.

MADISON Earl A. Johnson, age 85, of 201 Merry died on Sunday, February 15, in a Madison hospital after a short Illness. He was born on January 22, 1902 in Blanchardville, and had lived In Madison over 50 years. Mr. Johnson married the former Margaret Culp on May 8, 1937 in Madison.

He had worked at the Royovac Battery Company for many years. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three children, Phyllis Wagner of Portland, Oregon, Janet Johnson and Larry Johnson, both of Madison; three grandchildren, Julie Wagner, Angela and Adam Johnson; a brother, Russell Johnson of Stoughton; and a sister. Hazel Barsness of Black Earth. He was preceded in death by five brothers; and a sister. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona at 2:00 p.m.

Julie H. (Fladen) MADISONSTOUGHTON Mrs. Julie H. Jones, formerly of 1622 Fordem Avenue, Madison, died on Monday, February 16, 1987, at the Skaalen Home. She was born on November 5, 1904, in rural Deerf ield.

She was a University of Wisconsin graduate with both a B.S. and an M.S. degree In home economics education. After graduation, she taught for a year in a one-room rural school between Brodhead and Albany. For seven years she had taught at Black River Falls High School, for a year at the Wausau Vocational School, for three years at Antigo High School, and for several years at Madison Vocational School.

She was a member of Phi Upsilon Omlcron and Phi Delta Gamma at the university, she was a 40-year member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and active in its Miriam Circle, and library. Survivors Include three daughters, Barbara Bogard of Mt. Home, Idaho, Kathrvn Nordstrom of Whitewater, and Elizabeth (Bettie) of Madison. She is also survived by a brother, Adolph of Milwaukee; three sisters, Ingeborg Disch of Stoughton, Mathilda Syftestad of Verona, and Helen Shold of Madison; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette in 1983; and by three brothers, Henry, Chris and Joseph; and a sister, Clara Wolfe.

Memorial services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago Street, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19. The Reverend Wm. Gary Kobs will officiate. Private family committal services will held at Roselawn Memorial Park, prior to the funeral service.

Kirch, age 79, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 1987, at the LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital. He was born on March 9, 1907, In Yuba, Wisconsin. He grew up In the Elroy area. He was married on August 7, 1929 to Anna Smith in Hlllsboro, Wisconsin. He lived in the Elroy and Hlllsboro areas, 26 years in Sauk City, and the past nine months In Sparta.

He was a steam fitter and welder for the Madison Local 394. He was also a member of the Baldheaded Club of Sauk City. Survivors include his wife, Anna of Sparta; a son, James of Snohomish, Washington; three daughters, Gladys Hatfield of Sparta, Lucille Ranzinger of Granda Hills, California, Loreen Spain of Joelton, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Schneider of Hlllsboro, Julia Subera of Hlllsboro. MONONA Gerhard T. Landsness, age 66, of 501 Moygara Road, Monona, died on February 14, 1987, after a long Illness. He was born on March 10, 1920, in the Town of Burke, the son of Thorn and Bertha (Nelson) Landsness. He graduated from Madison East High School and the University of Wisconsin in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He was a veteran of World War 1 1 serving In the European Theater, obtaining the rank of captain in the Army Corps, of Engineers.

On November 8, 1943, he was united In marriage to the former Violet Amacher. He worked for 37 years for the state of Wisconsin Department of Transportation and was the Chief Maintenance Engineer upon his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Monona. He was a member of Madison Scottish Rite Bodies, a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge, and was a PastMaster of Commonwealth Masonic Lodge 325.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Carol (Dan) Anderson of Madison, Cheryl (Dennis) Kritsch of Davenport, Iowa; a son, Gary (Rose) Landsness of Pender, Nebraska; two grandsons, Daniel Landsness, and Derek Kritsch; a granddaughter, Sarah Landsness; two brothers, George of Columbus, and Vernon of Madison; two sisters, Nora and Nellie Berend of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ole, John, Ted, and John three sisters, Josephine, Caroline, and Burdette. Funeral services will be held at ST. STEPHENS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18.

The Reverend Jon Enslin will officiate. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Stephens Lutheran Church. McLain, Adonis (Seiser) MIDDLETON Adonis (Seiser) McLain, age 40, died on Sunday, February 15, 1987, unexpectedly at her residence. She was born on August 18, 1946, in Menomonie, Wisconsin; she had been a Madison area resident for 17 years. She was the former Adonis Seiser of Menomonie and married Michael McLain on June 15, 1970, in Menomonie. Adonis was a honor graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout In 1968, and UW-Madlson in 1970 in Art Education.

She taught elementary art for two years In the Stevens Point Public School system. She was an art teacher in the Middleton School system for 17 years at the elementary and high school levels. Adonis was an accomplished artist and her works were displayed in Madison and the midwest. She was a member of the Hilldale Assembly Church of God, on the board of the Middleton Historical Society and was a collector and dealer in antiques. She is survived by her husband, Michael McLain; her parents, Dora and Otto Seiser of Lake Lure, North Carolina; two brothers Michael Seiser of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, and Jeffrey Seiser of Lake Lure, North Carolina; a nephew and a niece, Ben and Amanda Seiser of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at the HILLDALE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH, 5202 Regent St, on Saturday, February 21, 1987, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Gary Brandenburg will officiate. Private family services and burial will be held In Menomonie, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Middleton High School Scholarship Fund. Pohlman, Harry C. BELOIT Harry C. Pohlman, of 2235 Pow Wow Trail, Beloit, died on Saturday afternoon, February 14, 1987, In the Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 5, 1905, in Deerfield, Wisconsin, the son of William and Sarah Fadness Pohlman. He married Luella Niedf ieldt of Bangor, Wisconsin, on June 3, 1936 In Rockford, Illinois.

He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1923 as a three sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He entered LaCrosse Teachers College in 1927, where he lettered in football, and basketball; graduated in 1932 with a B.E. degree in Physical Education. He earned a Masters degree in Physical Education from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1953. His coaching career started In 1932 as a freshman basketball coach for LaCrosse College.

A six decade career followed from Fairchild, Wisconsin, Independence, Wisconsin to Beloit in 1941. His first 11 years in Beloit, he taught Physical Education at Lincoln Junior High School and coached football, basketball and track. In 1952, he became the first Beloit High School baseball coach and coached at the high school until 1961. He then taught Physical Education at Aldrlch Junior High School in Beloit until 1971. He continued at Beloit High School as an assistant baseball coach throughout his retirement years.

He started the boys summer baseball program in the early 1940's. He also coached the Independence and the Beloit American Legion baseball teams through the late 30 until the early 60's. His teams appeared In the state tournaments 11 times, where he won three state championships and four second places. His coaching career record in both the American Legion and high school was 799 wins, 183 losses, and 11 ties. He was known as Mr.

Baseball in Beloit, and recently the stadium in Telfer Park was named after him for his dedication to youth of Beloit through baseball. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a Royal Arch Mason of the Fairchild Lodge 305 F. A.M. of Fairchild, Wisconsin.

Mr. Pohlman was also a member of Midwest Officials Association; he officiated football and basketball for 58 years, from 1923-1981. He was a commissioner of Rock Valley Conference from 1972 to 1981, and a member of the Wisconsin Federation of High School Coaches Association, where he received the merit award for 58 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Luella; two sons, Larry (Vlckl) Pohlman of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Michael (Irene) Pohlman of Flossmoor, Illinois; six grandchildren; a brother, Carlyle Pohlman of Edgerton, Wisconsin; and a sister, Evelyn Otto of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 1987, in the ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 617 St. Lawrence Beloit, with The Reverend Adam Meldlnger officiating, Intombment will be In the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, Illinois. Mr.
