Durrofes above mentioned We. it refolved, That a (landing committee of cor refpondence and enquiry be appointed, to conlift of eleven perfons, to wit, the Honourable Peyton Ran doiph, Efq; Robert Carter Nicholas, Richard Bland, Richard Henry Lee, Benjamin Harrilbn, Edmund Pendleton, Patrick Henry, Dudley Digges, Dabney Carr; Archibald Cary, and Thomas Jcfferfon, Ef quires, any, fisJT whom to be a committee, whofc bufwefs it ihall be to obtain the moll early and authentic intelligence, of all fuch acts and refolutions of the Britiih Parliament, or proceedings of adminiftra tion, as may relate to or affect the Britiih cblonies in America; and to keep up and maintain a correfpond ence and communication with our lifter colonies refpefting thefe important confiderations and the Urelultof fuch their proceedings, from time to time, t0 lay before.

The faid Refolutions, being feverally read a fecond time, were, upon the queftion feverally put thereupon, agreed to by the Houfe nemine contradicente. Refolved, That the Speaker of this Houfe do tranfmit to the Speakers of the different Affemblies of the British colonies, on this continent, copies of the faid refolutions, and defire that they will lay them 'J before, their refpeftive Affemblies, and requeft them to appoint fome perfon or perfons, of their refpec tive bodies, to communicate, from time to time, with the faid committee, i On Monday laft his Excellency the Governor was plcafed to give his affent to the following public and private bills and relblves A'n'aft for the better fecuring the public credit of this colony.

An act for eftablifhing a warehoufe for the infpec tion of tobacco, in the town of Manchefter. An act for altering the bounds between the parifhes of Dale and Manchefter, in Cheftcrfield county. An act to ettablifh and enlarge the power of the Imftecs of the town of Richmond, in the county of Henrico, and for other purpofes.

An acl for building a bridge over Nottoway river, from the land of Samuel Brown, by fubfeription. An aft for appointing truftecs for the Gingalkin Indians.
