The quality of the iron that has already been made in the bloomery, or blooming way, is not inferior to any on the continent. There are two feats for furnaces, the fartheft not exceeding a quarter of a. mile from the ore banks; and we can venture to alfure any perfon or perfons, that may incline to purchafe, that a furnace may be built at either of the faid places as cheap, and carried on at as fmall expence, as at any place in America. Pig bar iron may Be exported at a fmall expence, as the forge lies within one mile of James river, Which affords an eafy carriage within fix or feven miles of navigation. The country in which the faid works arc fituated is very extenfive, and as there are no iron works to intercept their market, the demand for iron will be very great.

A confiderable part of the faid lands is very capable of farming, or planting. There is alfo a large quantity of meadow ground. The terms of fale may be known by applying either to Robert Harper, of Berkeley county, Thomas James, late of Carlijle ironworks, in Cumberland county, Pennfylvania, or to Benjamin Hedge, on the pre mifes, who will lhew the lands, Indifputable titles will be made the purchafers.
