Three Mets combine to shut out Braves ATLANTA (UPI)-Tommie Agee led off the fourth inning with his 19th homer of the year and scored another run in the ninth as three New York Met pitchers combined in a shutout for a 3-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves Sunday. Met slarler Nolan Ryan did not allow a hit for 2 and 1-3 innings, but had to leave the game when he aggravated an old leg injury and Don Cardwell took over. Cardwell blanked the Braves on four hits for four innings, but gave way to Tug McGraw in the seventh when he tired in the heal. McGraw finished up with one hit over the last 2 and 2-3 innings to preserve CardwelPs fourth win. In addition to his homer, a smash high into the left field seats, Agee doubled in the sixth and doubled again in the ninth, scoring on a single by Cleon Jones, Wayne Garrett's single drove in Jones.

Agee also robbed Orlando Cepeda of an extra base hit with a fine running catch in the first inning. Braves' starter Jim Britton, now 6-3 on the year, deserved a better fate as he gave up only three hits in seven innings. The Braves went over the one million attendance mark for the fourth straight year as 18,224 paid admissions gave them 1,018,145 for 52 home dates.
