ALTON, THURSDAY, JUNE 26, 1958 Witnesses Testify Against Former East Alton Patrolman EAST ALTON Three womeni and a man testified Wednesday night before the Police Comhiis sion in the case of Richard Donohoo, former probationary patrol man who was discharged from the police department in November, 1957 for conduct unbecoming an officer. Donohoo was reportedly "fired" for "trying to arrange dates with women under the pretense of talk ing to them about traffic of fenses," Ed Groshong, legal counsel for Donohoo, was present and cross examined each witness after Francis Manning, village attorney, had questioned them.

Two of the witnesses stated that Donohoo on stopping them while driving in East Alton said that he would meet them at the Comet Drive Inn to discuss the traffic ticket Manning asked each witness if Donohoo had mentioned coming to the police station to discuss the tickets and they replied "no." The brother of one of the witnesses testified that his sister had come to him after Donohoo had 'propositioned" her and asked for his help in the matter. Groshong protested and the witness left the stand after giving only a portion of testimony. The case was heard by Judge Harold Clark in Circuit Court in May and was referred to the East Alton Police Commission for furth- hearings. Members of the commission will make a decision after they receive transcript of the circuit court hearing from the court reporter and review it, Chairman Kiel stat Meier's Observe Silver Wedding At County Seat EDWARDSVILLE -y Mr. and Mrs.
