A farmer and lifelong resident of this area, he was a member of Leisure Run United Methodist Church, New Kethlehem RD I. A son of Fred and Elizabeth (Kespelher) Decker, he was born May 8, in Porter Township, Clarion County. He never married. Surviving him are one sister, Mrs. Lydia Ditty of Fairmount City; two brothers, Henry E.

of Clarion and Edward of Kittanning RD and a niece, Mrs. Donna Jean Thompson of Seneca RD whom he and his sister, the late Mrs. Emma Allison, raised from early childhood until her marriage. Another sister and four brothers are deceased. DKC'KKIt--Friends of Carl I.

George Elmer Guntrum George Elmer Guntrum, 71, of Nampa RD 7, Idaho, died at 9 Saturday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Yula Brison of 1425 Johnston Kittanning, with whom he had been visiting for several months. was the son of Henry and Flora (McClain) Guntrum. He was born March 26, 1903 at Lawsonham.

His wife, Emma, is deceased. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Brison and Mrs. Annie Larrimer, both of Kittanning; a brother, John of Kittanning; and 10 children residing in western states. Guntrum's body was returned to Nampa for burial.

Two Women Suffer Neck Hurts in Crash Two local women were injured in a rear-end collision Saturday afternoon at the top of the Indiana Pike Hill (Route 422), state police at the Kittanning substation report. Treated for neck injuries and released from Armstrong County Memorial Hospital were Judith E. Clay pool, 23, of Kittanning RD 7 and Alice E. Riggle, 42, of Kittanning RD 2. Troopers said the Claypool driven car, in which Ms.

Riggle was a passenger, stopped in the westbound lane and was struck by Cravener, 18, of Kittanning RD I. He was not injured, records show. Decock Is Graduated Bruce Arnold Decock of Kittanning was graduated from Clemson University, S.C. at its mid-year exercises Dec. 19.

He received a bachelor of science degree in recreation and park administration from the university's College of Forest and Recreation Resources. Couple Heard Saying They Shot Kennedy Tonight to Midnite Christmas Eve to 10 P.M. I LOS ANGELES (UPI) A retired police officer says he to a couple who heard two persons say they shot Robert F. Kennedy. But his report was overlooked in the massive investigation of the shooting, the officer said.

Former Sgt. Paul Shraga told radio station KMPC Sunday that he was the first police officer to arrive at the Ambassador Hotel where Kennedy was shot. He said that as he walked toward the hotel, an older couple stopped him and told him that they had passed a young couple who were smiling shouting, "We shot killed shot killed him." Shraga said the elderly Elderton Ambulance Service Will Cease Clarence P. Clark, funeral director at Elderton for more lhan 52 years, said today that he will suspend ambulance service he has been providing in Elderton and vicinity. He said legal requirements governing ambulance attendants and equipment will prevent him henceforth from transporting persons to or from hospitals or convalescent homes.

Clark suggested that persons who have in the past relied upon his service consider membership in ambulance services operated at Kittanning and Indiana. Two Treated for Hurts At Armstrong Hospital The Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, reports the following persons were given treatment in the emergency room for injuries received in accidents over the weekend: --Charles Wakefield, 61, of 1219-5th Ford City, incurred forehead and neck injuries in a two car accident on the Ford City Hill. --Barbara Barnet, 18, of Corsica RD 1, received a cut above her right eye in a two car accident on Route 28. couple described the pair as "in their early 20s" and said the woman was "wearing a polka- dot dress." Shraga, who was a command post officer at the time, said he broadcast the description for about two hours, until a senior officer told him to discontinue it. According to Shraga, the officer said "We've got our not make a federal case out of this." The former cop said he filed official reports of the incident, but that the reports disappeared.

He said his reports were never investigated by authorities looking into the shooting and were not included jn subsequent books written about the assassination. Sirhan B. Sirhan, a Jordanian, was apprehended at the scene of the murder and was convicted of shooting the Senator in 1968. Sirhan is presently serving a life sentence for murder in San Quentin prison. Investigators originally said ballistic tests of the murder Metal Slivers Found In infants' Cereal CHARLOTTE, N.C.

(UPI) -At least one box in a shipment of infant cereal received recently by a Charlotte grocery contained slivers of metal, store officials reported Sunday. The box of instant rice cereal for infants, manufactured by H.J. Heinz and apparently sold about two weeks ago, was returned Sunday by a customer, David Gordon, assistant manager of a K-Mart grocery, said. He said all K-Mart stores in the area and the distributor were alerted to look for containers of the product bearing the code BP1444. A spokesman for the store's distributor said the warehouse stock would be pulled and Heinz officials notified.

Gordon said there were at least 12 boxes in the case bearing the stock number but no others had turned up. He said some of the metal slivers were as long as an inch and a half. Gordon said none of the other boxes of the product on the store's shelves contained any of the slivers. weapon were insufficient. Shraga's story was aired by the radio station Sunday, one week after former Rep.

Allard Lowenstein in New York asked that the investigation be reopened. Lowenstein asked the Los Angeles district attorney's office to reopen the investigation in light of what he said was new evidence that a second gun had been fired in the slaying. Los Angeles District Attorney Joseph Busch replied, however, that there was no new ballistics information in Lowenstein's statement and that he' did not plan to reopen the case. Kittanning Man Hurt In Crash Near Butler A Kittanning man is listed in serious condition today at Butler County Memorial Hospital after a one-car accident Sunday morning on the Lardintown Road in Clinton Township, south of Butler. The injured man, Randall Zamperini, 52, received facial lacerations in the mishap at 1:30 a.m., authorities said.

State police at the Butler substation said Zamperini was a passenger in a car driven by William Lee Craig, also of Kittanning. Troopers said the car was northbound when it struck a bridge railing on a narrow bridge. The car incurred $500 damage. Truck Rolls On Side Swenring To Miss Deer Two area men escaped without injury Saturday night when the truck in which they were riding rolled to its side along Route 85 in Valley Township, six miles east of Kittanning. Kittanning-based state police said the 1974 vehicle incurred $4,000 damage in the mishap.

Troopers said the driver, David H. Simmons, 27, of Ford City RD 2, swerved the truck to miss a deer and the vehicle hit an embankment. Riding with Simmons was Louis A. Rich, 27, of 139 Neal Ford City, records show. C.

(Zella Ruth Brown Mrs. Joseph C. (Zella Ruth) Brown, 77, of Kittanning RD 3 (East Franklin Township) died at 6:10 yesterday evening at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Brown served as East Franklin's tax assessor for many years and had also been a school teacher.

She was a member of the West Glade Run Presbyterian Church. She also belonged to the Volunteer Hospital Workers' l(KX) Hour the National Grange, the i a i Woman's Club and the Kittanning American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries. Born June 3, 1897, in East Franklin Township, she was a daughter of Harry D. and Anna (Reed) Smith. Surviving are a son, William C.

Brown of Kittanning RD two daughters, Mrs. Anna Slorey, also of Kittanning RD 3, and Mrs. Franklin SSagle of Worthington RD 14 grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Her husband died in 1950 and a son, Richard, was killed in World War II. ISIUW'N--Friends of Mrs.

Arrangements by Kennedy. Frank N. Young Frank N. Young, 80, of 806-4th Ford City, died Saturday evening at Armsdale Home and Hospital. He was a retired employe of PPG Industries.

He was a member of Kittanning Elks and Ford City Eagles lodges. Born May 30, 1894 at Ford City, he was the son of George and Emma (Featers) Young. Surviving is a sister, Miss Frances Naomi Young of 806- 4th Ford City. YOUNG--Friends of Frank N. Young, who died Dec.

21, 1974, will be received at Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, where service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. H.

78, of 1700 Hancock Oklahoma, died at 4 a.m. today at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He had lived in Kittanning prior to moving to the Vandergrift area in 1923. He was employed at Vandergrift Works, U.S. Steel Corporation for 40 years before retiring in 1963 as superintendent of the open hearth department.

He was a member of Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Coudersport the past 50 years. He was also a member of Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh. He was active in Vandergrift American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts. He was a member of Apollo. Spring Church Sportsman Club.

Born Jan. ,17, 1896 at Saxonburg, he was the son of Frank and Margaret Goddard. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kaye (Glasgo) Goddard; a Dr. Arthur Duppstadt Leechburg; A step-daughter, Airs.

Samuel (Jean) Greenlee of Vandergrift RD and eight grandchildren. Cleavie K. Johns Cleavie K. Johns, 51, of Adrian RD 1 died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church and attended Reesedale Church of God. A son of Noble and Catherine (Johns) Johns, he was born Oct. 28, 1923 in Washington Township. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Catherine Johns of Adrian RD two brothers, Gerald of Freeport and Delsoh of Adrian RD three sisters--Mrs.

Donato Vicini Donate Vicini, 77, of Yatesboro died at 3:34 p.m. Sunday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning. A retired coal miner, he was a member of United Mine Workers Local 600, William Penn Fraternal Society of Rural Valley, Shannock Valley Old-Timers Progressive Club, St.

Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Yatesboro, and the church's Holy Name Society. He was born Oct. 26, 1897 in i Italy, a son of Giovanni and Catherina Vinici. He came to the United States in 1921, settling first in Ramsay town. He moved to Yatesboro" in 1929 and had resided there ever since.

He married Catherine Vicini in 1932. Surviving besides his wife are a son, John, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Ann) Jones of Kittanning.) one sister, Ann Vicini in Milan, Italy; and three grandchildren. One son died in 1934. Five brothers and two sisters are also deceased.

VICINI--Friends of Donato Vicini, who died Dec. 22, 1974, may call at Gerald J. Bishop Funeral Home, Rural Valley, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m.

Interment: will be in the church Arrangements by Bishop. Mrs. Margaret Nell Wingard Mrs. Margaret Nell Wingard, 79, of 432 North Kittanning, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at the Georgian Manor Nursing Home, Natrona Heights, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.

Mrs. Wingard worked as a nurse's aide at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian -Church and had spent her entire life in this area. Born Jan. 18, 1895, she was a daughter of Thomas J.

and Mary Margaret (Kelly) Lemmon. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Virginia Dale) Bargerstock of Kittanning; two sisters, Mrs. Jenny Thompson of Kittanning and Mrs. Paul (Lucy) Schaeffer of Vandergrift) two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

CODDARD-- Friends of Grant M. Goddard, who died Dec. 23, 1974, will be received at Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home. 244 Franklin Vandergrift, 7 to and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 'tomorrow.

Walter Ray Schall Walter Ray Schall, 70, of Templeton died al 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Butler County 'Memorial Hospital, Butler. Before his retirement, Mr. Schall was employed at a brickyard. Born Nov.

31, 1904 at Templeton, he was a son of Elliott and Susan (Nolder) Schall. Survivors include three sons, Richard E. of Mahoning, Charles N. of Templeton and Ray W. of West Middlesex; two daughters, Mrs.

Joseph (Betty) Sawron of Meridian and Mrs. Jinx (Josephine) Wyant of Climax; Mrs. Violet L. (Mclntyre) Schall of Mahoning, to whom he was once married; a sister, Mrs. George (Phoebe) West of Templeton; 13 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

SCHALL--Friends of Walter Ray Schall, who died Dec. 22, 1974, will be received after 7 Tuesday evening at the Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning. Visitation hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Christmas Day. Service will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday (Dec. 26) at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. C. Richard Main, pastor of the Templeton Church of God. Interment will follow in Cochran Cemetery.

(Margaret Buzard Mrs. John W. (Margaret Buzard, 81, of 220 S. McKean Kittanning, died at 11:50 p.m., Saturday, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Mrs.

Buzard was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church of Kittanning. Born Sept. 6, 1893, at Parker, she was the daughter of David and Elizabeth Mourer. Survivors include two sons, John W. Jr.

of Kittanning, and Richard L. of Brackenridge; daughters, Mrs. Louis (Geraldine) Rose of Turkey, N. Miss Mildred Buzard, Mrs C. T.

(Betty) McCafferty, and Mrs. T. D. (Jean) Curren, all of Kittanning; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her husband, John Buzard, died in 1952.

A David, is also deceased. son, BUZARD--Friends of Mrs. John W. (Margaret Buzard, who died Dec. 21, 1974 are being received today at the F.

Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning. Service will be 2 p.m.. Tuesday, at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Carl F. Schoman.
