Albert H. Quie (R-Minn.) will hold public hearings on how to meet the rising costs of higher education Monday in New York City.

Rep. Quie stated, "A wide range of complex problems threaten our whole system of higher education, and unless meaningful steps are taken now to insure that more of our nation's young are able to complete college and university training, the future of the United States at home and abroad could be put in needless jeopardy." Construction has been started on a bomb resistant, underground communications center at Weymouth, about 15 miles south of here by the American Telephone Telegraph Co.
