The trains were compos ed of Pullman leeping cars excepting two baggage cars. They made good time, be first one leaving Burlington abjut 10 u' cli ck, passing through Montpelier Junction in this order. Engine 411 drawing 13 Pullman sleepers at 11.38, reaching Boston at 7.28 this morning. Engine 413 pulling one baggage tar and 12 Puilmau sleepers psssHd through the Junction 12.09 arriving in Boston at 7.35 (his morning Engine 414, pulling 13 Pullman sleepers passed Ibruugh the Junction at 18.40 reaching Boston at 9.07, this nmrnlng. Engine 413 pulling one baggage car and 0 Pullman sleepers pasted through the Junction at 1.02 reaching Boston at 9.20 this moiu-lrg.

For the last two weeks sleeping cars have been golug nortn on the regular Central Vermmt tralr.a to accommodate tbls crowd on tbeir way home last nigbt. Fifty sleeeplng cars were lu readiness at Burlington. There were a few over 1100 on the fonr tulns. It Is expected thit another delegation will go to Plattsburg In few days. COMMITTEE ORGANIZES.

Another Meeting Next Week To Map Out Plan of Relief. The relief committee wblcb met at the state bouse yesterday after noon with Gov. Gates selected the governor for chairman and Prof. H. K.

Koberts of Norwich University ior secretary. The financial arrangements were left to the governor and Slate Treasurer Scott. The whole committee will formulate the plan of relief an 1 report back to a meeting to be held on next Tuesday. On the executive committee were placed Gov. Gates, State Treas.

Scott. John Plddnck of Bflllcws PallB, H. O. Cady of NortbGeld, and Edward Deachene of Noitbfleld. In the meantime each member of the committee wilt investigate the matter of the needs in tbeir own lucallties among, dependents ot soldiers.

He was 69 years old. Mr. Thurston was bom at Montpelier, Vt, August 21, 1847. He was one of President McKinley's close advisers and during service in Congress won national notice as an orator. John Mellen Thurston was the son of Daniel Sylvester and Kuth Mellen Thursday.

He removed to Wisconsin when seven years of age, was educated in the public schools and at Way-land University, Beaver Dam, supporting himself by farm work, driving team and other manual labor. He was admitted to the bar May 21, 1869 and the following October he located in Omaha. He married Martha Poland December 28, 1872. She died March 14, 1898. For his second wife he married Lola, daughter of Major William J.

Purman of Florida. He was chairman of the Republican national conventions of 1888 and 1896. AUTOMOBILE CAPSIZED An automobile driven by a member of the firm of Athol Granite company of Athol, was tipped over in Middlesex village Tuesday afternoon. It appeared that the car which was a roadster, met a large Pennsylvania car and that in turning out to allow the big car to pass the road ster went off the edge of the bank near a small bridge, throwing the man and his wife out of the car, the latter of whom sprained a wrist and received a small cut However, the machine was not broken and was soon replaced in the highway by the assis tance of E. L.
