She was affiliated with several organizations including National Council of Jewish Women, Brandis University, Hadassah, Business and Professional Women and the Standard Club of Atlanta, Ga.

She lived in Mobile, Ala. for many years and moved to Atlanta with her late husband Isaac Gurwitch. She is survived by her loving children, son Harry Gurwitch and. his wife Shirley; son Burt and his wife Mary Jane Gurwitch, and daughter Phyllis and her husband Herbert Wizig, and grandchildren, Lisa Gurwitch and husband Martin Fleisher, Anna Bella Gurwitch, Michael and Mindy Gurwitch, Michelle Friedenberg, Scott and Renee Wizig, and great-grandsons Max Isaac and Brian Jacob Fleisher, and brother Irving Ripps. She was preceased in death by her husband, Ike Gurwitch and brothers, Sam, Hyman Max Ripps and sister Freda Buchman.

He is the son of the late Clarence Whitaker Holland Jr. and Elisabeth Moore Holland. He is survived by two brothers, Clarence W.
