SHACKELFORD Mrs. Willene White Shackelford a previous long-time resident of Atlanta and the widow of the late W. Thad Shackelford a residential real estate developer in the Buckhead area of Atlanta passed away on January 23, 1994 at Covenant Village Retirement Community in Plantation, Florida.

The funeral service for Mrs. Shackelford will be held at the cryptside. in: Crest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum on Saturday, February 12, 1994 at 1 o'clock p.m., with Dr. Sam R. Matthews officiating.

She is survived by various relatives throughout the Southeastern United States. Mrs. Shackelford was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Atlanta and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, a leader in Brookwood Hills Garden Club and an accomplished bridge player.

Meltz was a long time member of Ahav-ath Achim Synagogue and Hadassah. She is predeceased by her husband, Meyer Nathan Meltz and her daughter Nettye Meltz Friedman. Surviving are her son and daughter in-law, Lawrence and Barbara Meltz of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Laurel Ann and Steve Kom, Gail and Howard Mendel and Felice and Marc Baritz and Tore Miller, great-grandchildren, Todd and Russ Kom and Ryan and Erin Mendel. MITCHLER Mrs. Lillian Jannette Mitchler, age 95 of Atlanta, died Tuesday, February 8, 1994 at Life Care Center of Gwinnett.

Mrs. Mitchler was bom in Aurora, May 27, 1898, the only daughter of Charles Frederick and Mattie (Burnett) Krumm. On May 15, 1917 she married Jacob Walter Mitchler in Aurora, III. He preceded her in death April 2, 1949 as did their baby daughter Dorothy Caroline. Mrs.

Mitchler has lived in the Atlanta area 23 years, previously living in Walnut Creek, CA, Prow, Utah, Casper, WY, and Aurora, III. She was an avid student and teacher of the Bible, and enjoyed and was very proficient at needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, and tatting, which she taught her many students. She was an accomplished trained singer and loved and appreciated good music. She was an independent and determined woman and a devoted mother. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Harlan G.

Mitchler and Marie of Roswell, and Charles H. Mitchler and Jane of Irvin, CA. Also surviving is her granddaughter, Lynne Mitchler of Atlanta and ner other grandchildren and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Ann) Boswell, Piano, Mr.

and Mrs. Patrick (Nancy) Dooker, Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. David H. (Kim) Mitchler, Cumming, one great- franddaughter, Kathryn Lynn Boswell, Piano, ex.

MUNRO Tom M. Munro, 72 of Douglasville, died Thursday, February 10. Mr. Munro had been a resident of Douglasville for the past 20 years, and was an electrican for Allison Smith Electrical Contractors. He previously lived in Austell and Atlanta.

He was a member of the Lithia Springs United Methodist Church. Survivors include sons, Michael Munro, Douglasville and Mac Munro, Acworth; daughter, Tommie Munro, Douglasville; brother, Dave Munro, Douglasville; sister, Mary Browder, Decatur; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
