Henry Weyer, Saturday evening. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lon Livingston; Mr. and Mrs.

Elvin Weyer and family. Mr. and Mi's. Wayne Livingston held farm sale last week and are moving to Omaha. and Mrs.

William Weyer; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Bohner and AleMiea' were Monday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Votrou'bek and Joan.

They celebrated the birthday of John Votroubek. The guests brought ice cream and cake and gifts. Mr. and Mrs. John Marten, One- aga; Miss Donna Marten, Toneka, Kan.

Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Bryan and Cindy on a trip to Denver, the Carlsbad caverns and on into Mexico. They returned home Tuesday. Mrs.

Leonard (Marie Willey) Fooht was again a lucky winner. They just had installed a new International Harvester deep freeze in tiheir home which she won. She also won $15.00 recently in a contest, Mi's. Barbara Husa who spent some time in the Lutheran hospital in Beatarice was taken last week to the Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoln for further treatments. Miss Olgci Husa who is employed in Lincoln will be near her mother.

Mrs. Helen Dalton and three sons arrived safely at home in Denver after spending two weeks visiting relatives in Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hansen arrived home the same day from a visit in Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma The three Da'lton boys spent Sunday with their grandparents while Mr.

and Mrs. Dalton enjoyed a show and dinner in celebration of Mrs. Dalton's birthday. Mrs. Frank Tarvin and baby, daughter Vickie Sue were released from the Randell hospital in Marysville, Kan.

Sunday. Oliver Townsend, New Orleans, La. passed away last week at the age of 62 years. He was a former Barneston resident. His sisters, Mrs.

Fred Whittcomb and Mrs. James L. McCorory, Omaha went to New Orleans with their brother Harold Townsend, Oak Ridge, to attend the services there. Services were also held in Omaha. Interment was made in Omaha.

Mr. and Mrs. William Townscnd and brother Orman Townsend, Billy Townsend, Columbus, Ohio attended the funeral of his uncle Oliver Townsend and then came to Barneston to visit at the home of his mother Mrs. Frank Howe, for a few days. Kimberly Hlatt is convalescing nicely at her home after spending some time in the Lutheran hospital.

She was injured in trying to remove her dog fi-om beneath the car and having the board she was using strike her in the stomach with force from the moving machine. Mrs. Edwin Skalla, Irving, is confined to the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lincoln with a hip injury caused from a. car accident several years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. John March drove to Lincoln to visit her Wednesday. They visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Raliegh Willey and she accompanied them to visit Mrs. Skalla. Mrs. Skalla expects to have the same surgery on her hip for which Arthur Godfrey was operated on. Afr.

and Mrs. Lon EJvingftlon, were supper guests at the home Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weyer Friday evening. Mrs.

Louis (Rosa Brurker) Jefferies, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. John (Mildred) Brucker Schwindt, Barbara and Bobby, Lincoln Albert Brucker; Mr. and Mrs. Alphys Brucker and Unda; Mr.

Zabel were Carol Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. L. Fred Zabel and sons. Cambridge.

Fanner's Union meeting was held at the high school with nearly 500 people attending the free pancake feed and program. The program had been planned by local mem tiers with the assistance of the State Exchange Union members of Omaha. Wilber Drown, field man for the organization, was master of ceremonies. Stan Hojer played his accordion during the Mrs. Mamie Wiegers, program leader, presented skits and nusical selections from several school districts.

Participating were Shirley Kotouc, Mrs. Grace Placek. Mrs. Ruth Barta, Mrs. Wilma leadrich and Gene Harding.
