DRY CLEANING TIPS By PERRY PINGATORE WATER REPELLENT garments are out in force this time of year.

How water-resistant are the, special finishes oni the fabric of your! car coat or jacket? Well, you can still get damp wearing a coat in a heavy rainstorm. Such finishes are not completely waterproof. They do shed a lot of moisture and they also resist valuable feature in any clothing. A good water repellent finish will keep the garment clean longer and will last even through several cleanings. However, not even the finest water-repellent finish is permanent.

The finish loses its effectiveness against moisture and has to be renewed periodically. If you've worn yours for quite a while, or if it's had a few cleanings, let us renew the finish the next time you bring it in for cleaning. It'll last longer and do a better job of keeping you dry.
