Unable to serve in World War II because he was deaf in one ear, he became a volunteer American Field Service ambulance driver during the war i in Africa, Europe and Asia. Afterwards, he graduated from the University of Georgia in 1947, and joined RobinsonHumphrey in 1951.

He was a board member of Atlantic Southeast Airlines, the Caldwell and Orkin funds, CIM High Yield Securities, and the Commerce Club; a former trustee of the University of Georgia, Spelman College, Lovett School and the A.G. Rhodes Home; and a member of Gridiron and the Piedmont Driving Club, Capital City Club, Peachtree Golf Club, the River Club in New York, and Ella P. Dills Homemaker Canton The graveside service for Ella Paris Dills of Milledgeville, a homemaker, will be today at 11 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Gardens here. Ms.

Crockett of Griffin, a foreman with a Griffin structural systems manufacturer, will be at 11 a.m. today at Wages Funeral Home in Snellville, with burial at Sherwood Memorial Park and Garden in Jonesboro. Mr. Crockett, 25, died Tuesday at his job in an industrial accident.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Joy Smith Casteel and Leon Casteel; his father, Richard Crockett of LaGrange; and a brother, David Crockett of Newnan. C.
