Death notices Austin, Arthur E. Arthur E. Austin, age 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 1 at a Madison hospital. He was born Jan.

22, 1891 in the Township Lowville, Columbia County. He was a farmer and livestock dealer until his retirement in 1965. He served as a member The Wisconsin State Assembly from 1938 to 1946. He is also, a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Rio and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife the former Ethel Mae Cheney whom married 1925; a two sons, Earle of lie or Portage David of Rio; two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 1976 at THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH. Burial will be in the Bonnet Prairie Cemetery with Rev. David Hofer officiating.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at THE THOMPSONKELLOGG FUNERAL HOME, Rio. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Burns, MADISON Mrs. MArtinet W.

Burns, age of 4929 Whitcomb Drive, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 1 at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1901 in Watertown, WI. She was the former Florence E.

Kohn. She was married June 21, 1926 to William Burns and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. She was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Wisconsin. She was accomplished and she was associated with the University of Wisconsin Dance and was also associated with the Kehl School of Dance, was partners with Kathryn Hubbard Sinaiko the Kathryn Hubbard Dance Studio. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and she was President the St.

Catherine's Guild the church. She was President of the Madison General Hospital Auxiliary and recently wrote and compiled a 25 year history of the Madison General Hospital Auxiliary, and was a member of the Soroptimist Club. She is survived by her husband, William one son, William W. Burns, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska; one daughter, Mrs.

Charles (Suanne) Taylor of Grosse Pt. Farms, MI and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 6 North Carroll St. at 2:00 on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1976, the Reverend Robert Hargrove officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the FRAUTSCHI FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M. and from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, Dec. 3.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Grace Episcopal Church, the Madison General Hospital Auxiliary or the American Cancer Society. Connors, Margaret E. Mrs. PINE BLUFF Margaret E. Connors, age 80 of Pine Bluff, Rt.

1, Mt. Horeb, died Thursday, December 2, at a Verona nursing home after an extended illness. The former Margaret E. McDonald was born at Wisconsin Dells on January 4, 1896. Prior to her marriage to James M.

Connors in 1929 she had taught elementary school in Doylestown, Hartland, Hampton, Brussels, Dalton, and Pine Bluff. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pine Bluff Christian Mother's Society. She is survived by two sons, P. and Donald, both of Rt.

Horeb. Three sisters, Mrs. Marie Sweeney, Mrs. Gertrude Stevens, and Miss Susan McDonald all of Milwaukee. Three brothers, Edward, Milwaukee; Clifford, Chicago; William, Chester, Pa.

Seven Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. at the GRUBER-CROSS PLAINS FUNERAL HOME and at 10:30 a.m. at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Pine Bluff.

Father Joseph Higgins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday, at the PLAINS FUNERAL HOME, 2905 Esser Cross Plains where a rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Friday.

MADISON Mr. C. L. Finch, age 65, of 702 Bruce Court, died on Wednesday, December 1, 1976 at a Madison hospital. He was born in Colorado on July 31, 1911 and was married to Fay Cassidy on July 10, 1943.

He had been a Madison resident since 1950. Mr. Finch was a graduate of the Madison Law School and for 5 years had served in the Wisconsin Legislature as a representative from Langlade County. From 1950-1974 he was a member and chairman of the Wisconsin Board of Tax Appeals and also a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association. Survivors include his wife, Fay; a son, Michael of Brantford, Ontario; and a daughter, Mrs.

Patricia Mertens, Madison. Funeral services will be held at the FRAUTSCHI FUNERAL HOME at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 1976. The Reverend Andrew Davison officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 4, at the Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Please omit flowers. Memorials may made to the Easter Seal Society or the Heart Fund. Kilwy, Annie MADISON Mrs.

Annie Kilway, age 79 of 2705 Coolidge Street died Dec. 1, 1976 in a local nursing home. She was born August 21, 1897 in England. She was a retired Kipp employee. She was a member of Madison Gospel Tabernacle.

She is survived by one brother, Arthur Westoby of 2622 Dahle Street; five sisters, Mrs. J.A. Meincer of 5812 Harbor Mrs. Louise Schumacher 412 Nichols Mrs. Ellen Carlisle of Essex, England, Mrs.

Edith Mason of Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Frank Lux of Route 2, Stone Lake, WI; one niece, Mary Lou Daniel of Iowa City, lowa and one nephew, James Westoby of New Berlin, WI. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1976, the Reverend Warren Heckman officiating.

died on Wednesday, December 1, 1976 in a local home. She was born in Piana Degli Albanesi, Sicily December 17, 1890. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, well known local businessman and official city Bugler for many years. Stuessy, age 92, formerly of Brodhead, died Wednesday, on Dec. 1, 1976 in a Sun Prairie nursing home after a brief illness. The former Mary (Katie) Whitt was born on Sept. 6, 1884 in Cross Plains, WI. She and her late husband, Lawrence, whom she married on WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 1976 SECTION 4, PAGE Nov.

w1904, farmed many years Riley, moved tor. Brodhead, WI. and lived there for many years. Mr. Stuessy died in 1961.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and for a period of 20 years was a camp recorder. In 1974 she received a 50 year membership pin. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Royce (Viola) Goth, Mrs. Joseph (Marion) Domini, both of Madison; two sons, Lester J.

of Milwaukee, and Lawrence Edwin of Belmont, thirteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. M. W. Stuessy, in 1974.

Funeral services will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2114 N. Sherman Ave. at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1976, Father Michael Doro officiating.

Inez M. Wipperman, age 78, widow of the late William Wipperman, residing at 235 Superior passed away early Thursday morning, December 2, 1976, at the Divine Savior Hospital. Mrs. Wipperman was a member of the United Methodist Church, Star of Bethlehem Chapter No. 100, O.E.S., and the Railroad Women's Club.

Survivors include four sons, Phillip, and Harold, Middleton, Leslie and William, Portage, three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Helen) Drury, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Vernon (Betty) Busser, Portage, and Mrs. Laverne (Ruth Ann) Williamson, Largo, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Guilligan, Camp Douglas, WI; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen greatgrandchildren; and other near relatives.
