Circus Circus Hotel and Casino's new 29-story, addition, the Circus Skyrise, is expected to be completed in March, 1986, one month ahead of schedule. Located on Circus Circus Drive across the street from the Big Top, the Circus Skyrise will include new restaurants and bars, about 17,000 square feet of casino space, a race and sports book and an adjacent high-rise garage. The tower will be linked to the main hotel and casino by the Circus Sky Shuttle. The expansion project is expected to cost $59 million.

With the addition of the building, Circus Circus will operate nearly 2,800 rooms and about 110,000 square feet of casino area. If the projected 100 occupancy rate at the expanded property is attained, the Las Vegas resort will become the leading hotel in the world in terms of room nights sold annually.
