"Soap" is a nighttime comedy soap opera and, as shown to television critics and ABC affiliates this summer, if you deleted all sexual references you'd come close to a half-hour of zero television. The network came in for a lot of flack on "Soap," so much that the top brass called a special closed- circuit meeting to smooth down ruffled affiliates.
