Harry C. Thoma Miss Esther M. Mrs. Clayton L. Parman Drake-Thoma Wedding is Event at Grace Church exceptionally beautiful wedA ding in the Easter-tide was that of Miss Margaret Drake, daughter of Dr.

and Mrs. Frank I. Drake, 2113 Keyes avenue, to Harry Charles Thoma, Madison, son of Mrs. Lucy Thoma, Milwaukee. The ceremony at Grace Episcopal church on Friday evening at 8 o'clock was attended by a large number of Madison and university friends.

The rector, the Rev. H. H. Lumpkin, read the service. Miss Eloise Drake, soprano, a talented Madison soloist, sang two numhers, "Tomorrow," by Strauss, and "Serenade." Schubert, before the marriage ceremony and also served her sister of honor.

The "Bridal Chorus," from Lohengrin, and the Mendelssohn wedding march were played on organ for the processional and the recessional. The decorations in the church were simple, white roses, freesia, and ferns being used. at the altar and smilax entwined about the lighted candles. The bride presented a charming picture in a very long, simply designed gown of ivory satin with an Elizabethan collar of lace. Her long tulle veil was draped from a lace cap, with a tiny cluster of orange blossoms at either side, and she carried a bouquet of white roses.

Bridesmaids' Gowns The gown worn by Eloise Drake was of delicate pink chiffon, fashioned on silhouette lines with a swirl four ruffles below the knee. Anna Dahlgren, Rice Lake. Miss Caughey attended the University of Wisconsin with the class of 1930 and is a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Mr. Dahlgren was graduated from the course in geology at the university here last June. He was a fellow at High house, Tripp hall, during his senior year, was active in intramural sports at the university, and is affiliated with Phi Kappa Tan fraternity.

He is now an oil geologist at Oklahoma City. The wedding is planned for late spring. BENNETT-BELL Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bennett, 616 South Brooks, street, announce the engagement daughter, Dorothy Agnes, to Robert Stanton Bell, Madison.

Boston, to Robert Wilmarth Bliss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bliss of Janesville. Miss Crandall was graduated from Smith college in 1929. Mr.

Bliss was graduated from Dartmouth college in 1929 and is a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. His father is well known as the publisher of the Janesville Daily Gazette. Marcella Eierman is Betrothed; Will be Married in June R. and Mrs. M.

F. Fierman, 215 North Brearly street, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcella Mary, to James F. X. Conmy of Fargo, N. D.

Miss Eierman was graduated from the University of Wisconsin with the class of 1928 and for the past two years has been a laboratory bacteriologist at St. John's hospital in Fargo. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and was elected to Phi honorary Beta Kappa societies and at Phi the Kappa Phi, university. Conmy is the junior member of the law firm of Conmy, Young, and Conmy in Fargo. He was graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1924.

Cohn, 505 East Gorham street, will attend the reunion in Evanston, today of pupils of Victor Heinze, wellknown pianist who was a guest teacher several years ago at the Wheeler Conservatory of Music.

Miss Cohn was the youngest pupil of the artist in Madison. A reception for all former students is being held during the afternoon at the home of Adele Lane Kennedy in Evanston, and the plans are to be made to form a' national association of these students, who will meet in convention during the summer. Mr. Heinze is returning from abroad for the summer while he teaches at the Institute of Music and Allied Arts in Chicago. SOUTH MADISON AID SOCIETY.

Mrs. Donald Watson will entertain the Woman's Aid society of South Madisons on Thursday afternoon at o'clock in the People's Community church. Misses Fox, Havey Given High Positions elbow length, ended in a circular ruffle. Both Miss Drake and the two bridesmaids, the Misses Margorie Van Skike and Margaret Cole, who walked together to the altar, wore large hairbraid hats, trimmed with crushed satin ribbon, in the same colors as their gowns, and long white gloves, and carried bouquets of spring flowers. Miss Cole was in orchid georgette and Miss Van Skike in pastel green, gowns being designed alike.

They were fitted to a point at the knee and had two deep ruffles at the bottom. Wide cape collars completed the frocks. James W. Yonts, served Mr. Thoma as best man, and William W.

Fuller. Milwaukee, and John R. Roherts, Chicago, were the ushers. All are fraternity brothers in Phi Kappa Sigma at the university here. Among Wedding Guests Relatives and close friends attended the reception after the ceremony at the Drake home.

Among those who came from out of the city for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Roland I. Prett who have recently moved fro a to St. Paul, where make their new home.

Shorewood to Have Egg Hunt on Easter Day Easter egg hunt on the afterA noon of Easter day has been arranged for the children of Shorewood Hills village and will be held in Blackhawk park. Favors will be given the tiny children who are 100 young to hunt the colored eggs. No individual invitations are being issued this season for the hunt. The occasion marks the fourth annual Easter Day egg hunt arranged for FFICIAL word has come that Miss Elizabeth Gordon Fox, a former Madison young woman who has many connections here, hag resigned her position as national director of the Public Health Nursing service the American Red Cross to join the faculty of Yale university School of Nursing, and that Miss I. 0. Havey, 1825 Winnebago street, has been appointed to this position in her place. Miss Fox represents the third generation of the Fox family well known in Madison and throughout the state for its leadership in medical work. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Edwin Fox, Madison. the former being a cousin of Dr. Philip Fox. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with the class of 1907 and attaining high scholastic honors, she was graduated from the Johns Hopkins university School of Nursing. She has held important positions in hospitals in eastern cities and in 1919 assumed the directorship with the American Red Cross, Family Lives Here Miss Havey, who passes vacation periods here each season, was born near Stoughton and is a graduate of the DeForest high school.

She completed her course at the Illinois Training School for Nurses in 1910, held various positions in the midwest. and at the outbreak of the World war joined the Red Cross overseas forces. serving with distinction as assistant chief nurse at Base hospital, No. 36, at Vittel, in the Vosges mountains. During the great drive in the spring of 1918 at Compiegne, she served with the field nursing forces under fire.

For her courage she received a first-class medal from the British government, Miss Havey held various divisional directorships and in 1925 was given the position of assistant national director of the Red Cross, from which she is now promoted. In the Mississippi flood of 1927 and the Porto Rico hurricane 1928. she directed the Red Cross nurses on disaster Orrin T. Harey of Madison saw World war service in France in an electrical service corps at the same time his sister was stationed there. Another brother.

Nicholas Havey, and a sister, Miss Lydia Havey, also live in Madison.
