Sunday on state road 25 at ,he entrance to the Logansport state hospital. Mrs. Jean Robertson, 34, of Minor street, suffered injuries to her right :eg and left shoulder, and Miss Margaret Curry, 62, Fort Wayne, sustained a bump on her left knee, according to the report to Deputy Sheriff George Shanks. Mrs. Robertson was riding in a 1957 sedan driven by Claude Allen, 5S, of 1937 -Erie avenue, en- route toward Logansport, when a car operated by Edwin Kitchell, route 5. city, stopped suddenly in front of them because anolhcr vehicle was coming out of the state hospila! entrance, it was reported. The Allen car crashed into the rear of the Kilchell auto and the 1956 sedan driven by Miss Curry crashed into the rear of the Allen aulo. Damage was estimated at $200 to the Allen auto and $150. to the C-jrry car. Kilchell told Allen he did not have any damage to his car and drove away, according to the report to Deputy Shanks. Ruth Elnora Hopper, Of Rochester, Dies; Funeral Wednesday ROCHESTER — Ruth Elnora Hopper, 51, of «9 East Fourtccnlh street, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Woodlawn hospital. She had been seriously ill for five weeks. A resident of Rochester for 35 years, she was bora August 29, 1906 in Plymouth, !nd., to Joseph and Ella Manuel Bar'.s. She was married in 1925 to Alfred Hopper, at Tyner, Ind. She was a mem- oer of the first Christian church in Rochester. Surviving are her husband, six daughters, Mrs. Marlha West, Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Barbara Junkin, Hammond; Mrs. Nancy Lebo, Mrs. Bertha Eabs, Mrs. Carol Hebrick and Miss Blanche Kay Hopper, all of Rochester; a son, Carl, Rochester; three brothers, Paul Barls, Lawrence, Ind., and Howard and Ralph Barts, both of Rochester: and nine grandchildren. Born May 4, 1879 in Clark county, he was the son of Steven and Jane Hall Johnson. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist church in New Bethel, Ind., and the Hillsborough Masonic 'lodge.
