EVANS Member of the College of Surgeon, London, and for many years a successful practitioner in this country, would warn all those afflicted with delicate diseases, such as stricture of the L'retha, and Syphilis in all its various forms, to be cautious to whom they entrust themselves, as there are many remedies fostered upon the public as truly vegetable preparations, when in fact the chief ingredient in their composition is the most fatal preparation of Mercury, producing violent secondary symptoms, such as eruptions of the skin, destruction of the mouth and palate, and disorganization of the whole system. All the untoward eventsare obviated by Dr.
