Impressive? Yes but it tells only a small part of the story of Wirephoto service! Twenty-six cities in the United States now have Wirephoto stations where pictures may be both sent and received. From these 26 cities 54 newspapers receive Wirephoto service. Expert photographers from these newspapers and the world-wide Associated Press are ever on the alert to cover any and all news events. Through this coordinated effort, photographs are rushed to the nearest Wirephoto station, there to be flashed to all other Wirephoto stations in an average time of eight minutes!
