Irt Caates Little Damage at the Oscar Rankin dome. Fire caused excitement at the Oscar Rankin house, on North Lafon taine, street, this morning. Mrs. Slade, wtio is looking after the duties of the bouse during Mrs. Rankin's was, engaged tn doing some Ironing.

jul I PANT nom. mow 1: Little. Girl fell and Is lo Caught Irene the' thirteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bare, residing on Elm street, met with a severe and painful accident at abontj 2d clock this afternoon.

To day was the little girl's birth day, and she, in company with a a number of playmates who came to assist in the proper celebration of the event, went to the bam to have their fun. While playing in the mow, Irene ran too near 'the opening and fell through it In her descent, she struck on aliopk which was fastened in a beam about ten feet from the floor, and sustained a fearful injury. The hook penetrated her body in the region of the 'right groin in flicting a deep wound. The little girl suffered excruciating pain, and fairly screamed, when lifted from the perilous position in which she was hanging and carried, to the house. 'A" Dr.

F. B. Morgan was called and rendered the necessary surgical attention, Luckily no vital parts were penetrated by the hook, and five or more stitches were required to place the wound in a healing con dition. Dr. Morgan reports the little girt, as resting easy when he left her bedside.
