Paring tho past half century, particularly in industry sad agriculture, and among tho Nation's gainfully employed people, has gone forward in satisfaction to himself and to the productive enrichment of America. Ilia continued progress will bo an industrial set of value to all tho people. It follows that it is to th interest of all, both employers and employees, to encourage tho Negro group to continue its advancement in home life, in education, and in its respect for, and loyalty to, American practices and ideals.

Thia means that it will ba but fair and just to give th Negro worker an equal wage for his labor, and the permanent hops for promotion and advance ment, commensurate with th training efficiency, and skill which he ants into his labor. He will thus become capable of contributing a real shar toward increasing our prosperity and wealth aa a Nation. MHe will become a larger buyer of American products, reaching beyond th mere necessities of life, rather than a poorly paid competitor, unable to purchase commodities and the comforts of life, which increase the Nation's business and create aa increased demand and supply.
