'Tom Conley," a promising yonng track horse belonging to Jack Davis, died yesterday from injuries received from running against a fence at the fair gronud. This hore was entered at the Latonia races and made an excellent record, and it was thought by competent judges that he would develop phenominal speed. The M. E. The interior of the chnrch was very beautifully decorated, one of the decorations being an old fashioned fire place. Mr Petty went to Indianapolis last week to consult an eye specialist, who stated the eye was affected with what is known to eye specialists as "blubbers," caused by a blow or a fall, Mr. Petty attributing it to the latter canse, having received a hard fall abont a vear since from the back of a horse.

Half way between the Brown and Leek homes Leeka stopped. placed the gnn in an upright position on the ground, placed his face to the muzzle, reached down and pulled the trigger.

Death was instantaoeons. The discharge entered the eye and blew off the top of the head. Mr Leeka leaves a wife and five children, the oldest fif teen and the youngest five weeks. Mrs. Leeka is the daughter of Mike Petro.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the old Mt. Zion church northwest of Economy, and was the largest ever held at that church. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
