There are still 36 men unaccounted for tn th mine. The condition of the bodies, badly burned but not mutilated, led mine officials and some of tha rescuers to express the hope that at least a few of the men are still alive. The bodies were found In a heading tn which 29 miners are believed to have b'een at work.

Rescue efforts are being pushed in this head ing, while another in which 1 men were engaged, has been blocked off to enable the air currents to be directed toward the area where the rescue crews are at work. No effort has been made to re move the bodies, pending the arrival of the county coroner. A number of horses stabled In the Number 8 mine of the Jamison Coal and Coke company at Karmlngtou, near here. In which an explosion occurred late last night, were taken out, alive this morning.
