MONTANA STANDARD, BUTTE, SUNDAY JUNES, 1937. ANACONDA BUREAU GIRL SCOUTS PAY TRIBUTE TO MRS. HERBERT HOOVER (Continued Prom Page 1.) Olri Scout director, who organized the local council last fall. Upon her arrival Mrs. Hoover expressed her happiness at being able to visit Anaconda.

She said she had made numerous trips to Montana on previous occasions but had never had the opportunity of coming to this city. Mrs. William Wraith president of the local council, who arranged the entertainment for the national Girl Scout executive, presided at the banquet tonight. The banquet was arranged by Mrs. C.

A. Lemmon, assisted by Mrs. C. F. Prey, was In charge of the decorations of the banquet room.

A program was arranged by Mrs. Bayard 3. Morrow. Included on the program presented was a play, written by Elaine Wallen of troop No. 3 Roles in the play were taken by girls representing each patrol of the troop.

Girls having parts In the play were Elaine Wallen, Doris Axelson. Barbara Jane Case, Joan Schwartz and Betty Lou Summerville. Mrs. William Roeder Is captain of the troop. Other members on the program include: Piano selections, Gloria Oster and Theresa Long, dance numbers by Doris Ryan.

Guests invited to attend the banquet Included Mrs. T. T. Taylor, president of the Butte council; Mrs. W.

B. Hoskyns, president of the Deer Lodge council; Lucille Skewes. district Girl Scout executive, and Col. and Mrs. P.

Sanders of Buttc. Mrs. Hoover will leave the Smelter city early Sunday morning and will have breakfast at Deer Lodge with Girl Scouts of that city. She will arrive at the John Gillie ranch near Missoula Sunday noon, where she will meet with Mlssoula Girl Scouts, From there she will go to the Sanders' country home at Flathead lake Sunday evenign. At the Sanders home she will meet with Girl Scouts from Poison.

During the church services choir sang the responses to the mass and two hymns, "Ave Maria," and "Hide Thou Me." Many friends of the well-known woman attended the rites. DILLON, June 5. (Special.) Dellnr Gordon, Armstead, was a visitor In the city today. Sheriff Paul H. Temple this morning recovered a car here said to have been stolen from Butte Thurfdny night. It had been abandoned nt the fairgrounds.
