Jerry Dinome, who plays Randy, is a fashion model making his movie debut, and he is far too glamorous and sophisticated, not only for his leading lady but for any Grade-B movie.

Richard Erdman, a comic character actor who has played hundreds of parts in the past 30 years, has his first little-old-man role as Chester, Tommy's boss. Although Erdman gives the most professional performance in the film, his suddenly-aged appearance is a poignant reminder that we're all getting older. 7Mi.W7 30OGl 7:15 9:35 THE COTTON CLUB LEON WE rLA4A 6:00 8:05 10: 10 PG PH AR LAP AT MONROE OR 2mfiIDEV Although Randy seems to be a confirmed playboy, he develops a romance with Tommy. We are asked to believe that the Satins are good schoolgirls at heart.

They like to dress up in tartish clothes and sashay down Sunset Boulevard on Saturday nights, looking for all the world like $2 hookers, but they are pure as the driven snow and genuinely offended when creeps try to pick them up. The slimiest creeps belong to a gang called the Scars. This unwashed quartet makes Dirty Harry's adversaries look like pilgrims on the way to Lourdes. The Scars make a serious mistake when they rape Miss Blair's deaf-mute sister. This dreadful incident takes place in a high-school gym.

Of the four brief works on Sunday's program under William Noll's capable direction, three showed the approximately 40 singers to be in top form. Mozart's "Ave, verum," written in the last months of the composer's short life, is a musical jewel of remarkable beauty. The subtle harmonic progressions throughout its mere 46 measures tend to indicate that had Mozart lived longer, his writing style probably would have evolved into something altogether different. Noll drew a stunning legato from his singers, with careful balance between the sections that gave the music a hushed, ethereal quality. Another Mozart work, the "Te Deum" achieved similar results.

Noll's firm beat gave the performance a rhythmic impetus that culminated in crisp syncopations near the end. Again the choral sound was full-bodied, with a good blend of voices that made the performing group seem at times larger than it was. Schubert's Mass in was one of three the genial composer wrote while still in his teens. Unpretentious in its length and musical scope, the work is full of an ingenuous charm that makes it ideal for any choral group. But with the superior capabilites of the Atlanta Choral Guild, it was a sure-fire choice.

The five main sections of the Mass ordinary Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus and Agnus Dei were all infused with a warm, fo 00.4:30, 7.WJ,9:J THE ULLtefi FIELAS (R TOM BOY (R) 1:15,4:15.7:15,9:15 "BODY DOUBLE" 500,7:15,9:45 rsifeiMxamivwiiiM "SCENT OF SAVAGE STREETtR) 1:45.3 45.5:45,7:45.9:45 Rated SOUTMLAKl PLAZA WHO!
