Rizzoli International Bookstore end Gallery: Drawings by architect Rob Krier will be shown beginning with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and continuing through Sept. 30. Sept. 12. at 980 Briarcliff Road N.E. Artists' booths, demonstrations, performances, children's activities and refreshments will be 'available. Admission to the festival is free, $1 for children's creative activities and 50 cents for "The Moon Walk," a special entertainment.

Goethe Institute: Silk-screen prints and photographs by German sculptor Otto Herbert Hajek will be shown beginning Wednesday and continue through Oct. 13 at 400 Colony Square, Peachtree and 14th Streets N.E. The institute is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The Great American Gallery: Blown glass works by David Goldhagen and Joan Reep are shown through Oct.

By Scott Cain Statf Writer Six Flags Over Georgia is marking the holiday with an "All Night Labor Day Party." The event will be highlighted with two shows by Joan Jett and the Black-hearts, scheduled today at 9 p.m.

and 11:30 p.m. Ms. Jett, a rock singer and guitarist formerly with the Runaways, is touring on behalf of her album, "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," which has been a big seller all year. Other members of the Blackhearts, a Eroup formed in 1980, are Gary Ryan on ass, Lea Crystal on drums and Ricky Byrd on guitar. The Gap Band and War are headline attractions for a "back to school" rhythm and blues show being given at the Omni today at 8 p.m.

Also on the program are Zapp, Goodie and Soul Sonic Force. The Gap Band consisting of brothers Ronnie, Charles and Robert Wilson is touring in connection with its big-selling album, "Gap Band IV." A hit song is "Early in the Morning." War's current album is "Outlaw." The title song is popular. Zapp's hit song is "Dance Floor." Pianist-composer Marvin Hamlisch's show at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fox, is a benefit for the Georgia Easter Seal Society. The event also pays tribute to the late Georgia songwriter, Johnny Mercer.

Ham-lisch will be backed by an orchestra, and the show will feature singer John Gary. Not only is Tom Scott opening the show for Olivia Newton-John, he also is leading her backup group. The concert, scheduled Friday at 8 p.m. in the Omni, is the subject of a separate story in today's paper. Scott a saxophonist, bandleader and 'composer has a following in both the jazz and pop fields.

His new album is "De- sire." He also wrote and conducted music for the recent film, "Hanky Panky," and is involved in two upcoming TV series, "Family Ties" and "Square Pegs." Recent recordings for which he provided backup were Dan Fogelberg's "Innocent Age," Blondie's "Autoamerican" and Toto's "IV." TOM SCOTT: Opening for Earl Klugh is scheduled Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Fox Theatre. His album, "Late Night Guitar," was one of the top 10 best-selling jazz albums of last year. His "Crazy for You" album was a big seller during the winter.

The Producers, a leading Atlanta rock band, will appear Saturday at the Agora. The quartet is promoting its new album, "You Make the Heat." Membership in the Producers is unchanged. Kyle Henderson is bass guitarist, Van Temple is lead guitarist, Wayne Famous is keyboards player and Bryan Holmes is drummer. Marshall Chapman, the rock songbird from South Carolina, is scheduled Tuesday at Rumors. Papa John Creach, the folk-rock fiddler best known for his work with such San Francisco groups as the Jefferson Airplane, is appearing Wednesday at Rumors.

Aztecs is the opening act Thursday, Rumors will have the simultaneous "debut and farewell" of a group called the Love Boat Brothers Band. Among the members are Andy West of the Dregs, "Magic Mickey" of Mother's Finest, Darryl Rhoades, Steve Kent, George Coats, Jimmy Royals and Jeff Compton, all Atlanta musicians. The Fabulous Scallion Sisters will be the opening act. Asleep at the Wheel, the western swing band, will appear at Rumors Friday. As ever, Ray Benson is the bandleader, guitarist and principal male singer.

Jann Brown is the female singer.
