Winters of Postville. The wedding will take place October 20 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Lansing. VERTA MOOSE WEDS KEITH KERR Verta Moose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milburn Moose of Monona, and Keith Kerr, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Kenneth Kerr of Postville, were united in marriage by the Rev. Walter Martin September 1 at 7:30 m. in the Community Prebyterian Church in Postville. Miss Marilyn Martin and Kenneth Timmerman provided the nuptial music.

The church altar was decorated with baskets of white gladiolus. White bows and pink gladiolus tips decorated the pews. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a wedding gown with a fitted French chantilly lace bodice and a sabrina neckline embossed with sequins and pearls, and featuring long tapering sleeves. The bodice extended into a waltz length skirt of tiered tulle over satin. The fingertip veil was attached to a lace pillbox hat embossed with pearls.

She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and wore a pearl necklace and earring set, a gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Ednah Wiethorn, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and Peggy Kerr, sister of the bridegroom served as bridesmaid. Mrs. Wiethorn and Miss Kerr wore iden-! tical 1 princess style dresses of pink brocade with a set in satin panel, large butterfly bows and matching headpieces.

While colonial bouquets completed their ensembles. Don Kerr, brother of the bridegroom and Gilbert Liethorn, brother-in-law of the bride, attended the bridegroom while Milton Turner and Rodney Livingood seated the guests. Sheryl Wiethorn, niece of the bride, was flower girl and Larry Livingood, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer. Decorations in the home were carried out in a pink, brown and blue color scheme. Centering the bridal table was a four-tier wedding cake decorated in pink, brown and blue with a miniature bride and groom on top. The cake was made by the brides cousin, Mrs. Jeleen Bilden. The cake was cut and served by the brides aunt, Mrs.

GRAND MEADOW CLUB SEPTEMBER MEET HELD Mrs. Harold Panncke was hostess to the Grand Country Club September 5. The scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Panncke followed by the Lord's prayer. Sixteen members answered roll call with slogans on the current drive, "Back the Attack On Traffic Accidents," Mrs.

Henry Oldag program chairman. The safe driving material was delivered by a delegate of the Iowa Department of Public Safety of Des Moines. The program was as follows: Reading, "Twenty Tips for Safe Driving" by Mrs. Lowell Fox; Song, "Onward Christian Soldiers" by the club: a Reading. "More Deadly Than Bullets' by Mrs.

Lawrence Thoma. The contest was won by Mrs. Ed Looney. Birthday songs were sung for Mrs. Lillian Schutte, Mrs.

Ruth Lenth, Mrs. Selma Schierholz, Mrs. Evelyn Looney and Mrs. Ileta Christofferson. Visitors were Mrs.

Leon Blumhagen, Mrs. Juhn Green and Miss Ora Dahms. Muscatine is the destination set for the clubs annual sightseeing tour September 30. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Glen Pixler, October 3 beginning at 1:30 p.

SCHULTZ'S OBSERVE 25th ANNIVERSARY Relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schultz on Friday evening in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. The evening was spent playing "500" after which a lunch was served to about 50 guests by Mrs. Clarence Moore and Dellene Schultz, assisted by Iva Ann Muller and Gladys Becker.

V. F. W. AUXILIARY REGULAR MEET HELD The regular business meeting of the V. F.

W. Auxiliary was held Monday in the Auxiliary rooms of Memorial Hall. The meeting were brought to order by the president, Mrs. Lauren Trudo, with 17 members and four visitors present. The department Sr.

EASTERN STAR The regular meeting of the Postville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will be held in the Masonic Temple on Monday evening, September 16, at 8:00 p. m. All members of the chapter are invited to Lansing, Friday, September 13, at 8:00 p. m. to the Friendship Night of Martha Washington Chapter, Lansing.
