Mahe One-Year Grade Cametot9 9 3EoUy 9 Senior (Citizens By BRUCE GALTIIIN "Camelot" and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," now each past their one-year mark, are senior citizens on Broadway, the infant mortality rate of plays being what it is. And since both are still going strong, many a Georgian can be expected in the audience of one or the other or both over the holidays. 1 This piece is for the benefit of those who have time for only one: rut your money on "Molly." Not that a e-lot" doesn't have plenty to recom-m it; the Loewe score is the i v- 1 Galphin Lerner lyrics witty, sets and costumes among the most lavish ever mounted. And there is at least one top-rate voice left in the cast. But if you've fallen in love sight-unseen with original cast recording, you're likely to leave the Majestic Theater with a let-down feeling that not even Super Tonic can cure.

To state the problem briefly and bluntly, the Beautiful Spy She's Monique Van Voo-ren, who has that role in "Trick or Treason," the Du Pont Show of the Week Sunday night on NBC-TV. The full-hour color drama also stars book is downright silly. It robs the lovely music of the drive and co-hesiveness it deserves. At one moment, "Camelot" is a comedian weild-ing a slap-stick and at the next a reformer declaiming against war. Mercifully, Richard Burton has left the cast; it's hard to imagine his enormous talent wasted on the simple-minded King Arthur drawn by the play.

Julie Andrews is gone too, and Helena Scott just doesn't fill the vacuum. (Ditto William Squire in Burton's old shoes.) The big attraction these days is Robert Goulet as Lancelot; in voice and in looks, he is almost worth Broadway's high tariff by himself. Robert Coote plays his jesting jouster's role right up to its cliched hilt. "Molly Brown," on the other hand, still boasts its original stars, Tammy Grimes and Harve Pres-nell, and still works its original magic. Meredith WilLson's melodious songs, toe-tapping rhythms and clever lyrics are well meshed with the Richard Morris book, which follows the fabulous Mrs.

J. J. Brown from her tomboy youth to her what's-society-got-that-I-can't-afford days. Miss Grimes is Miss Grimes, and a higher compliment would be hard to pass out. She bubbles and grimaces and croaks her way through the role in a most delightful manner.
