Mrs. Kalkhurst Dies in Hospital Mrs. Ernest A. Kalknurst, of 1050 Ponce de Leon a resident of Atlanta since 1931, died Sunday irr a private hospital, a few minutes after she was taken there. She became ill suddenly at her home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by H. M. Patterson Son. Mrs. Kalkhurst, the former Miss Mae Agnes Dillon, was the daughter of the late Mr.

and Mrs. John Dillon, of Chicago. She Came to Atlanta from Evanston, 111. Mrs. Kalkhurst's husband, Ernest A.

Kalkhurst, was Southeastern District Manager for the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Atlanta. She was a member of Christ the King Church, and the Capitol City Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Dillon Kalkhurst, of Raleigh, N. and Jack Kalkhurst, of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Quinn, of Green Bay, Wise; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

NORCROSS, Nov. 9 Miss Mat-tie A. Burtchaell, 79, well-known retired schoolteacher, died Sunday at her home near Norcross after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at the Norcross Methodist Church at 3 p. m.

Monday, with the Rev. R. K. Tomilison officiating. Burial will be in the Norcross Cemetery.

Miss Burtchaell had been a well-known teacher in the Atlanta public school system from 1891 until she retired in 1931. She began her teaching career at Washington Seminary in Atlanta. She later taught at Girls High School and at the time of her retirement was head of the English Department of Commercial High School in Atlanta. Miss Burtchaell was a member of the Episcopal Church for more than 60 years. She is survived by one sister, Mrs.

former owner and operator of the Withers Coal Company, died Sunday in a private hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the chapel of the West View Funeral iHome, with the Rev. Emmett Mc- Nabb officiating.

Entombment will be in West View Abbey. Mr. Withers, a native of Marietta, had been a resident of Atlanta since 1903. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. James L.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. today at the graveside at the Riverside Cemetery in Macon. Mrs. Willis, a native Georgian, was active in affairs of the Methodist Church most of her life.

She was a member of the Decatur Methodist Church. In addition to her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. Broughton Branch, of Decatur; a son, Eugene F. Willis, of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lottie W. Kent. 53, of 3210 Hope was found Sunday morning harems by a rope from a rafter the parage near her home. Her husband. Dan F.

Kent, made the dismvery. A coroner's jury said Mrs. Kent death was suicide. Two notes indicating suicide were introduced at the inquest. Kent said his wife had been worried for sometime about his health.

Kent said he awoke early Sun-fey to notice his wife missing from their bedroom. A search led him to the garage. An overturned ladder was found at her feet, according to evidence at the inquest. Mrs. Kent is survived, in addition to her husband, by four sisters, Mrs.

T. F. Bank, of Cordele; Mrs. Walter Norton, of Albany; Mrs. L.

O. James, of Fayetteville, and Mrs. J. T. Jackson, of Stone Mountain, and two brothers.
