The latter corporation is made up of Atlanta businessmen who propose to pay $523,000 for the station. Dr. Caldwell wrote the FCC on April 20 asking that it take no action on the application for voluntary transfer of the WSB-TV channel until counsel for the Board of Regents can "prepare a petition in opposition and a brief in support of this petition." CALDWELL STATEMENT In a statement released with a copy of the letter to the FCC, the Chancellor pointed out that WGST applied for a TV channel more than three years ago and said "if this petition 'is not approved, Georgia Tech's radio position may be adversely affected."
