Hitchner of 213 Spring Street, West Pittston, suffered a heart attack at noon yesterday at his, home and died shortly afterward. Dr. John Testa, family physician, WAS summoned to the home when Mr.

Hitchner was stricken il ill. A of the late Richard C. and Harriet Bell Hitchner, he was born in Pittston, August 30, 1884. He was a life resident of Pittston Area and was associated with Hitchner Biscuit Company, retiring in, 1952. Mr.

Hitchner was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary E. Walsh, children, Kenneth, West Pittston; Louis Collingswood, N. Boyd, HadN. Richard, Miami, Jerry, Downey, Jane at home; sister, Mrs.

Fay Kelly, Altaway, N. seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 211 Luzerne Ave-1 nue, West Pittston, Thursday morning at 11 with Rev. Henry G. Russell, rector of Trinity Episcopal officiating.

Requiem Mass 9 St. Rites Thursday for Mrs. Mary Dugan Mrs. Mary Dugan of 439 West Main Street, Plymouth, passed away yesterday morning at 4 in General Hospital where she had been a patient four weeks. MRS.

MARY DUGAN native of Austria, Mrs. Dugan and her husband operated a tavern at the home address 26 years. She lived in Breslau, prior to moving to Plymouth. Mrs. Dugan was a member of St.

John the Baptist RO Church, Edwardsville, and the Ladies Aid. Surviving are her husband, Jacob; children, Thomas, at home: Nicholas of Breslau; Russell of Plymouth; Sylvester of Lee Park: Mrs. Sophia Holtz, Gettysburg; Mrs. Julia Kelly, Philadelphia; Mrs. Irene.

Stephen Kachur officiating. OBITUARY JOHN KALENA John Kalena of RD 1, Avondale Hill, Plymouth, succumbed yesterday morning at 7:20 in State Hospital. Stricken ill at his admitted to the hospital at 6 a. m. Born in Austria, Mr.

Kalena migrated to this country as a child and resided in Plymouth most of his life. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Greek Catholic Church, Plymouth. He was last employed at Avondale Colliery, Alden Coal Company, retiring several years ago. His wife, Mary, passed away March 29, 1951.

Surviving are these children, Mrs. Knapp, Henry Kalena, Mrs. Chester Ornoski, Mrs. Samuel Carbacio, all of Syracuse, N. Martin of Brooklyn, N.

Mrs. Richard Dow, Bloomingdale, N. Fred of Ridgewood, N. Michael, Newark, N. Mrs.

MRS. MINNIE DERSHIMER Mrs. Minnie (Morath) Dershimer of Orchard Place, Forty Fort, died yesterday morning al 3:30 in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, where she was a medical patient 10 days. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Peter and Anna Loch. Her first husband.

Joseph Morath, died in 1909, and only son. Leonard Morath of West Pittston, died in June, 1960. In 1923 she was married to William Dershimer and lived in West Pittston many years until moving to Forty Fort in 1955. Mr. Dershimer died in 1934.

Mrs. Dershimer was a member of Holy Name Church, Swoyersville, and its Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are a sister, Miss Mary Loch, at home; brother, Frank P. Loch, Wilkes-Barre, employed in City Hall, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 802 Susquehanna Avenue, West Pittston, Wednesday morning at 9 followed by a Name Church.

Fatal To Leo Raub, Sr. Leo Raub, died yesterday morning at 11:45 at his home, 38 Butler Street, following heart attack. Born In Shickshinny, a son of the late Anthony and Matilda Raub, he resided in Wilkes-Barre most of his life and Was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Queen Poultry Company at Mr.

Raub WAS employed by Woolworth's Store on South Main Street, for many years. Surviving are his wife, the former Bridget Hayes, children, Mrs. Dorothy Pattison. Mrs. James George, Thomas, WilkesBarre; Leo, West Haven, Sgt.

LEWIS Mrs. Rachel M. Lewis of 120 Powell Street, Old Forge, passed away yesterday morning at 6:10 at her home following a brief illness. The former Rachel Morris, Mrs. Lewis was lifelong borough resident.

She was a daughter of the late John and Harriet Rawlings Morris. She was member of Nebo Congregational Church, Old Forge; the, War Mothers and American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, David W. Lewis, Sr. borough secretary: sons, David' Jr.

Forty Fort, and William of Long Island, N. daughters, Mrs. John P. Andrews, Pennsauken, N. and Mrs.

Armond Biscontini. Hyattsville, sisters, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Old Forge, and Miss Sarah Rawlings, at home; two grandchildren. Her brother, the late John Rawlings, superintendent of Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, and secretary Forge School Board, died in 1959. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the uneral home, 409 North Main Street, Old Forge.

MISS ANNA SIMKO Anna Simko, formerly of York City, died Sunday night the home of her sister, John Krafjack, 501 Street, following seizure. Born in Exeter, Miss Simko was a daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Simko. She was educated in the borough schools and resided Duryea prior to moving New York City where she lived 25 years. She was waitress at the Sherry- York Netherland Hotel, New City, until becoming ill three months ago. Miss Simko was member of St.

Mary's GC Church, New York City, and the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. Her brother, Andrew, died January 20, 1960. Surviving besides her sister, Mrs. Krafjack, are nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 204 Main Street, Duryea, Friday 9, with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 St.

Mi- WILLIAM RODGERS William Rodgers died yesterday at 3 in the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Thomas, Ralph Street. He was 80. Born August 29, 1880, in Plymouth, he was a son of the late William and Mary Rodgers. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Plymouth.

His wife, Carrie, died February 2, Also surviving are a son, John, Newark, N. two grandchildren, George Thomas. Wilkes-Barre, and Helen Rodgers, Newark; four brothers, George and Samuel. Plainfield, N. Fred, d.

Kingston, and Albert, Allentown; three sisters, Mrs. George Cobleigh, Kingston; Beatrice Rodgers, Edwardsville, and Mrs. Hannah Jones, Newark. Funeral will be held from the M. S.

Kane, 51, died yesterday morning at 4 at his home, 68 Barney Street, following a lengthy illness. Born in Nanticoke, Mr. Kane was a son John and Mary Ann Phillips Kane. He lived in Wilkes-Barre most of his life and was graduated from Cough(lin High School, Class of '28. He had been employed in the bottling department of the Stegmaier Brewing Company 25 years.

During World War 2, Mr. Kane served the South Pacific with, the Seabees. He was a member St. Aloysius Church and its men's societies. Surviving are his wife, Clara: brothers, Cornelius and David both of Philadelphia; Edward Wilmington, and Thomas Baltimore, Md.

Moses. She attended ShickshinPresbyterian Church and was a member of the Daughters of America Lodge, Shickshinny. Surviving are her Henry; children, John of Newark, William of Nanticoke: Mrs. Catherine Newhart, at Home; sisters, Mrs. Michael Miller, Washington, D.

Lewis will officiate and interment will be in Reyburn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday night, 7. to 9. Simon (Sam) Kania died yesterday morning at 1:05 following a brief illness at his home, 27 Mitchell Street, Plainsville. A native of Poland, Mr.

Kania came to this country in 1912. He lived in Philadelphia two years prior to moving to Plains Township. He was employed at Henry Colliery of Lehigh Valley Coal Company years prior to retiring in 1951. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Port Griffith, and Local 1616, UMW.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; daughters, Sophia, at Mrs. Charles Hysek, Philadelphia; Mrs. James Scutt, Plains; Mrs. Frank Stanski, Iselin, N. 11 grandchildren; brothers, Frank of Philadelphia, and Karol in Poland.

Funeral will be held from the family home, Thursday morning at 9 with a Requiem 19:30 in St. Joseph's Church. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. ANTHONY SAKALAVAGE Anthony Sakalavage, a former resident of Front Street, Port Griffith, died suddenly yesterday morning following a heart attack in Newark, N.

where he lived 15 months. A son of the late Charles and Eva Rukowski Sakalavage, he was born in Jenkins Township. While in Port Griffith. he was member of St. Casmir's Church, Pittston.

Mrs. Draus WAS a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church. Her husband, Joseph, died 25 ago. Surviving are sons, Edward, at home: John, Pittston; daughters, Mrs.

RUSSELL STOKER Russell Stoker, 55, of 130 Martense Street, Brooklyn, N. formerly of Sheatown, died Sunday morning, at 8:30 at King's County Hospital, New York, following a brief illness. He was born at Sheatown and resided at Brooklyn 19 years. While a resident here, Mr.

and Mrs. Philip Humphrey, Mt. Olivet Road, Carverton Heights, RD 3, Wyoming. Born in Corinth, Mr. Humphrey had been visiting his son the last three months.

Prior to retiring 20 years ago, he was self employed as a salesman. Mr. Humhprey also had resided in Wichita, and Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving are a son, Sidney of LaCrescenda, a daughter, Jerelean Los Angeles, and six grandchildren. Funeral will be held from the funeral 243 North Emporia Wichita, Friday morning.

BERNARD GRAY A former Wilkes-Barre restdent, Bernard Gray, 57, died Saturday in Newark, N. where he had been a medical patient in a hospital two months. He lived in Wilkes- Barre most of his life, moving to Newark 14 years ago.

Mr. Gray was instrumental in founding Teamsters Union, Local 401. Surviving are his wife, Loretta of Forest Hills. N. children, Jeanne and Connie, Forest Hills; Bernard, Brooklyn; Joseph and Mrs.

Vincent Simone, Bronx; Mrs, Lester Sites and Mrs. Thomas Cadwalader, Harveys Lake. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Gray will be buried Wednesday from a funeral home in New York City. Berwick Man Sued In Motor Collision Judgment not in excess of $2,000 resulting from a collision of automobiles is sought by Alexander Wysocky, Drums in a suit started at the courthouse yesterday against John Scott Thomas, 1009 Pine Street, Berwick.

According to the complaint, the collision occurred on or about February 2 on Route 93 about five miles south of Nescopeck. The parties were driving cars owned by them. Wysocky claims his vehicle was damaged to the extent of $364.90. Complaint was filed by Attorney Feldmann. The -petition noted Cromis appealed the conviction and was acquitted of the charge June 1 by Judge Brominski.
