Johnson former Dane county acting coroner, Friday announced his candidacy for the first district assemblyman on the Democratic ticket, He is seeking the nomination of the East Madison seat vacated by Joseph Bloodgood, who is a candidate for district attorney.

A graduate of the University of Wis consin law school, Anderson served as acting coroner in 1953 ANDERSON and 1954. If elected, he said he would work for pay increases for state employes, oppose attempts to pass "right-towork" laws in the Legislature, and urge installation of safety belts in new automobiles. Anderson is married to the former Eleanor Sheffernan. They have one child. Seaton Takes Oath as Interior Chief WASHINGTON 46-year-old (AP) Nebraska A.

Seaton, publisher, was sworn in Friday as the nation's 37th secretary the interior. Seaton, who served an appointed term in the Senate 1952 and more recently was 2. presidential assistant, succeeds Douglas McKay who resigned seek the Senate seat of Sen. Wayne L. Morse Seaton was sworn in by Bernard Shanley, President Eisenhower's appointment secretary.
