He Turns Up In a Hospital By FRANK LOMBARDI While firemen were still search ing for his body yesterday in the rubble of a destroyed Washington Heights tenement, a man who authorities believe may have caused the blaze that killed three persons was being treated at a hospital for multiple burns. Carlos Tieas, 23, was admitted to St. Luke's Hospital, Amsterdam Ave.

Clothes on Fire Ticas was last seen running with his clothes on fire from one of the apartments shortly after an explosion. A ceiling col lapsed and Gloria Pagan, 35, and two of her young children, Ada 4. and Daniel, 3, were killed Firemen and police believed that Ticas also could have been buried in the rubble. The hospital reported yester day that Ticas, who gave 20 109th St. as his address, was in satisfactory condition.

Firemen had said that Ticas had removed a faulty gasoline tank from an automobile and had been working on it indoors. The Fire Department has asked the Manhattan district attorney's office to investigate the blaze and determine if criminal negligence was involved.
