1 TOURTEEN i fm THE SPRINGFIELD DAILY LEADER, SUNDAY MORNING, ITOYEMBER 20, Im 1 TO DO YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ij fell I1 hi ui Like the quality of mercy, that of giving is "twice blest, it blesseth him that gives and him that takes." 9. And in this coming Christmas season a multitude will be so twice blest. But giving requires good sense; its virtue lies not in the gift but in the spirit that sanctifies the gift. I There is one way in which every Christmas giver may join together with all the rest and make a united present a true gift of thoughtfulness. It will cost no money and no effort; among its blessings to those who give will be a very saving of cost and effort.

9 There is an army of store people serving the shopper daily; and of wessity it is organized for the daily needs. And when great crowds of shoppers ten times as numerous as ever descend upon it, this army of store people serves just as cheerfully, just as faithfully as it always does. But it suffers. The Christmas rush means men and women worn out and jaded who ought to be fresh and happ to enjoy the holiday. It is in the power of every shopper to save the store people this suffering; to make their Christmas what the name means rather than an escape from nerve wrecking 1 tumult.

The ONE way to do this is to SHOP NOW. The pubb'cation of this appeal E. P. Burman, Jeweler The Cash Dry Goods Co. John M.
