in El Pao," Gerard Philipe. 1:40 2 Movie; "Onionhead," Andy 3:50 2 Movie; "Slightly Scarlet," Rhonda Perry Como (Continued from page 17 Leisure) Perry said, "but you can't build a whole show around the concept. Those people down there pay for a good show and to see me on my feet. So I couldn't see going for that routine." Fortunately, he doesn't have to. He's getting around, playing a little golf, and ready for two more major television specials.

One will be his Kraft Christmas show to be seen Dec. 6 on NBC. "I know it's stupid to be singing "White Christmas' that early," Como said, "but the sponsors want an opportunity to sell their product before Christmas week." Another major special that Como will headline is NBC's "Cole Porter in Paris," which is scheduled to be shown in January on the network. Because of some conflict with the French that has not been resolved, outside shots may have to be done in Toronto, Canada, and the rest of the hour, produced by Joe Cates, may have to be done either in New York or California, according to Como. Other Top Singers Perry will be host of the one-hour musical, which will feature at least three other top singers.

"One thing is sure," he said, "you can't go wrong singing Porter tunes." "But you can go wrong apparently dueting with Doris we suggested. "I disliked the methods she used," sighed Como, "and I'm sorry the whole thing had to happen. But if we're forced to sue, I suppose we'll have to. At this point, I don't really care.".
