HAGB 0 MAT Grays to Defeat With Hicih-Sloppinn Barons Finally Flatjticd By Albany Bill Nicholson Poles Winning -Hit For Br TRENTON--Bill Nicholson's booming home run over the right field barrier, with two mates aboard, in the -eighth, enabled the Grays to defeat the Trenton Senators, 5-3, yesterday and win the series, 2 to 1. Nicholson's circuit clout Henry Peploski and Art McHenry. who had previously singled with out. Wilhamsport's Ollie Marquardt, had connected for the circuit in the sixth inning to tie the score at 2-2. Trenton threatened in the eighth inning and managed to push over one run.

Relief Pitcher Fred Archer allowed the run, although he finally quelled the by fanning pinch-hitter Bud Shaney, Trenton manager, and causing Fred Chapman to fly out.
