Bellbrook To Graduate 115 Seniors XENIA fJAZETTC Friday, May 13, 1967 11 DAN WHITFORD BELLBROK Dan Whitford, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Whitford of 115 S. East LINDA MUHLEMAN CHERYL JACKSON St. and Linda Muhleman, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Louis Muhleman of 2762 Upper Bellbrook are co-valedictorian of the 1987 graduating class at Bellbrook High School Cheryl Jackson, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Jackson of 2428 Tennyson is the salutatorian of the class of 115 seniors with a 3.8 average.

Baccalaureate exercises will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, and commencement exercis- Tuesday, June 6, in the high school gymnasium. DAN HAS topped off a school record at Bellbrook High School by receiving an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. He will report, for indoctrination as a plebe on June 28.

At Bellbrook, he has freshman representative and president this year of Student Council as well as sophomore class president and Teen Scene panelist the last three years, serving as captain this year.

Active in sports, he has received varsity letters for two years in basketball, two years in football, three years in golf and one year each in tennis and cross-country. He was named to the 12-man Dayton Surburban League All-Star basketball team this year. He also participated in the junior olass play and has attained the rank of Eagle Scout in Boys Scouts of America. I A MUHLEMAN, the co-valedictorian, recently was named a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Her ambition is to study oceanography, Asian anhtropolgy or international relations.

She has been accepted at Ohio State University. She enjoys reading, likes ca noeing and plays the baritone guitar. Presently she is taking voice and ballet lessons, likes yoga and is interested in Haiku poetry of Japan. Miss Muhleman also is member of Mensa, a world-wide organization with headquarters in London, England. Mensa is for "persons who have established, by a score in a standard intelligence test, that their intelligence is higher than that of 98 per cent of the population." It was formed in 1945 and a branch founded in America in 1960.

Its aim is to provide social contact among persons of similar intelligence. She was a Teen Scene panelist, has been a Girl Scout nine years and a member 01 Junior Council on Worlit Affairs. While a freshman, she was on the Beibrook drill team and her sophomore year member of the debate (earn. She had been in GAA and was resident of the National Honor Society. Last summer she at- ended Girls' State.

CHERYL JACKSON plans to go to Miami University at Ox- ord in the fall where she will najor in business, either in merchandising or retailing. A cheerleader four years wo on reserve and two as varsity she was captain of the quads her sophomore, junior and senior years. She was a Homecoming queen candidate this year, treasurer of Student Council and Future Teachers of America and a member of National Honor Society. She was a Teen Scene panelist, on the annual staff and in the junior and senior class plays. Graduating seniors are: Stephen Arling.

YOUTHS TO MEET JAMESTOWN Members of the Baptist Youth Fellowship at First Baptist Church will attend an association-wide meeting for young people at First Baptist Church, Greenfield, Sunday afternoon.
