Tuesday at Bellbrook the Golden Eagles won a baseball game from visiting Twin Valley South by forfeit and Twin Valley South won't forget the game in a long time. The score was 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning in favor of Bellbrook but South had two runners on and two out. The batter hit the ball which was fielded in the infield and overthrown at first base. The runner on third scored to tie the game apparently. But Coach Rod Patrick trotted onto the field and insisted the batted ball had hit the batter's foot first.

The umpire conferred, agreed with Patrick and ruled the ball was foul. The runners were ordered back to their bases. The Twin Valley South coach became unhappy with the umpires and refused to leave the field. The umps promptly forfeited the game to Bellbrook. Bellbrook is now 3-1 on the season and meets Dixie Thursday at Johnsville-New Lebanon.
