Santa High Point Enterprise, Monday, Dec. 24, 1962 15B A visit from St. Nicholas highlighted closing day festivities at Jack Jill School Friday. Santa sat in a chair decorated by the students and heard their requests. He distributed gifts and candies to each child during his visit.

Kindergarten and first grade classes will be closed for a two- week period which began Friday and will last until Jan. 7. During the week, different classes entertained their parents at special programs. Mrs. James McGee's kindergarten presented at the Shoe House," which began with a reading about the old woman who lived there.

The nursery rhyme was disproved, however, as the teacher showed parents how the real old woman never sent her children to bed without bread, but with a song. The children joined in singing and pantomimes. Outstanding in their costumes were" "Tom Terrell, dressed as Santa Glaus, and Sammy Caudell, who played Rudolph, complete with red nose.
