Other Cases In the Circuit Court. R. W. Cline has brought a divorce suit against his on December 27, 1893, and hived with until February 1, 1900, when she refused to cock and keep house for him. On one occasion she locked the door and prevented him from entering his own home.

She was also extremely jealous and constantly accused him of being intimate with other women, all et which accusations were wholly false. Mrs. Cline would not allow her husband to keep his chlidren at home. She would call them idiots and fools and appiled other opprobious epithets to them and Anally drove them from home. She would come to her huzband's store and make false accusatione against him in the presence of his customers and was meddlesome.

In conclusion accuses his wife of having a violent and ungovernable temper and is constantly cross, unkind and cruel. He therefore asks a legal separation. The docket entries were as follows: G.W. Miller against John S. Alimod.

Obituary, Mrs. Julia S. Wheelock Freeman, the wife of Porter C. Wheelock- -As England had her Florence Nightingale in the Crimean her Julia war, so Whee- had of Michigan lock amid the battlefields of Virginia, and of this noble heroine we submit the following: On September 16, 1862, while' engaged: in school teaching in the township of Ionia, she heard the gad' news that her soldier brother, Orville Wheelock, had been wounded in one of the battles of the Wilderness, City of Alexandria.

Then It was she resolved to remain in this strange land and endeavor, God being her helpen to do others a8 she fain would have done for her brother. A held of labor soon presented, itself, which she gladly entered, and to which she devoted all her energies from September, 1862, until July, 1865. Her acts of kindness and words of Christian comfort during that period soothed the anguish of many a poor soldier in his dying hour, and become a part of the unwrithistory of Michigan, which the heroie soldiers of that state, still living, will ever remember with heartfelt gratitude. During the time In question she kept a journal for her -own pleasure and not for publication, but in 1870 she was induced by her friends to revise it for the press, and thus came into existence 'The Boys in 'The Experience of a Hospital Agent in and Around of the book we have only to say it is written with ability and in good taste, abounds in passages of rare interest and pathos, and is calculated to give the reader an excellent idea of the truly noble and unselfish authoress and heroine. We have only to add that for her services during the war, she never asked nor recelved any sation, and that for two years thereafter she was a suffering The funeral were held at Robberson Avenue church Sunservices, day morning of which she was a member, June 10.

Dr. Langley, her pastor, paid a glowing tribute to per services for her charity, to her devotion to' her home and friends, to her noble Christian character and to the many virtues that. make a truly noble and good woman. She leaves her husband and son. Fred, to mourn her death, together with friends who knew her, but to many love her.

Vina Lindenbower of Lynn Has One Written by the surgent Leader. Mrs. Vina Lindenbower of west Lynn street has a valuable letter written by Aguinaldo. Her son, Fred Lludenbower who is in the Philippines in the regular arms, found the letter in a house which he entered after capturIng a town on Aug. 15, 1898.

The lettor was dated the day previous and had evidently not been sent out by Insurgent leader. It in the Tagal language the only part; that could be translated is the signature of Aguinaldo and the date. The hand writing is fairly good and the alphabet used is the English. The letter was taken to some of the professors at Drury college but none were able to read it. Stands Without a Rival.

The plaintiff had alleged that his wife would not live with him and had "left his bed and board without just cause. Schmidt and his wife. haye not been married long. They are both youre. The case was to have come up in circuit court yesterday for trial.

Judge Neville called the husband and wife up to the bar and had a talk with them. He advised the hueband to abandon the suit and take the defendant home with him. Franklin township: will continue to Lave two voting precincts in spite of the petition signed by 288 cluzens of both North and South Franklin to again make Hickory Barrens the voting place for both precincta, Such was the declaion rendered the county court. late yesterday afternoon, after hearing the testimony of the petitioners and remonstrators and the argumenta of the attorneys representing both sides In 1896 the county court divided the township and made two voting pre cincts of it, 900 at J. S.

Palmer's realdenice on the south side, and the other the home of Albert Marks in the northern part of the township. Judgee Appleby, Denby and Houston made the change in the township. The township was so large that people living near the borders had to ride from 15 to 18 miles to vote and consequently many voters, owing to old age and ill health, could not stand the journey. Judge Appleby was the chief remonstrator. The remonstrators claimed that the express petition the for will the of the consolidation did of majority voters.

'A petition is a very one-gided document, say, and anybody can take a sheet of paper and a lead pencil and get names. The oppoeition to the change brought in many written statements from signers of the petition who wanted the two voting places to remain. These recanters state that they were misled in signing the tion. The petitioners were represented by W. G.

Robertson and the remonstratora, by J. H. Duncan. The court commenced hearing testimony at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning and many witnesses were examined. The case was hotly contested and the Judges decided that the two precincts must remain.
