E. Mahoney of this city left yes terday to take a position In an auto mobile garage at Huntington, where he will move his family the first, of September. Mr. Mahoney has long been a resident of this cltyrwhere he was employed in the Big Four shops. He will purchase a half interest In the garage, which is one of the larg est in Huntington, and as he has made a special study of automobile machin ery he will undoubtedly make a suc cess of the venture.

On Tuesday Joseph Mickley's son Dale, was kicked in the stomach by horse as he was playing in the barn yard at the Smith Young place east of town. Hollette arrived In the city from Polk township, where she had attended at the bedside of her mother for several days. The aged lady ls now slowly improv ing. John Mfhton returned this morning from his recent trip to Texas where he was looking over the lands that have been heralded so much during the past few years. He states that the land Is all that is has been noted for and is greatly pleased with the outlook. and Mrs. C. Brown. Society I I TTTl AMUSEMENTS AT PARK. Thursday evening about twenty young' people of this city went to Mardenls, where they participated in the festivities at Zlntsmaster park.

Dancing was indulged In by all and music was furnished to the merrymakers. Each member of the crowd was to play on the piano for a certain length of time regardless of his or her ability or despite the fact that they had no ability whatever. This feature, as might well be supposed, created much amusement. All were greatly pleased with the place and feel that they would like to have another evening there. The girls furnished the supper for the boys and from their stories, the girls must be great cooks.

Thursday evening Miss Nellie Sprowl and Hugh Jeffrey were united In marriage at the home of the bride's parents in Wayne township in the presence of only a few of their immediate, Rev. El winger of the First Christian church of Andrews performed the ceremony. The young couple left immediately after for their future home in Chicago. Mrs.

Jeffrey is a graduate of the Marlon Normal college and is well known throughout the southern part of the county. Mr. Jeffrey' Is a graduate of the local bus iness university and has taught here for a number of years and will hold a position as instructor in Prof. O. E.

The Kelsey famlly reunion took place yesterday at Swaldner's grove near Roanoke, and there were 141 guests at dinner. from Day ton, Centerville, Zanesvllle, Richmond, Andrews, Huntington, Ft, Wayne, Rome City, Columbia City and other places were in attendance at the reunion. W. Kelsey, Ft. Wayne; Secretary, Mrs. Bertha Kelsey Edmunds of Ft. treasurer.
