E. A. a Writer Only Her Husband Can Help Unhappy Mlddle-Aged Wife It is a fairly well-established fact that the middle-aged American housewife is often frustrated and unhappy. has a remedy for her, too. The cosmetic ads try to beguile her into thinking if she uses this cream or that beauty soap she will look like the beautiful young model who dresses up the printed advertisement.

The women's magazines and soap operas offer her escape into foolish stories about women her age who have men fighting for their love. The advice-givers tell her how important it is for her to hold onto her husband. The smart-aleks tell her there is nothing wrong with her that doing her washing on a scrubbihg board wouldn't cure. Nobody bothers to talk to the only person in the world who can help the middle-aged housewife feel important, necessary, successful and cherished. He Can Help But Doesn't 'Snow It And that, of course, is her middle-aged husband.

He ought not to have to be told. For after all, he is feeling a bit frustrated, too, with his hair-line receding, his waistline increasing, and bright young men having more and more to say in the office. But Usually he doesn't tealim that he and his wife are both facing a period when they need each other's encouragement and support as much as they needed It in their young married days. So decides his wife's unhapplneaa Is all nonsense, refuses to let her talk her problems out and tries to build up his own faltering ego with making more money, getting away for more frequent hunting, trips with the boys, or turning into a middle-aged Romeo. Nobody points this out to the middle-aged husband who Is the only person who can help his unhappy wife find herself.

If somebody only would, what a different story it might be. (All rights reserved, NEA Service, Inc.) 0 RUSSELL STOVEIt CANDIES EXCLUSIVE AGENCY DAVIS DRUG StiCP Wonderful Super Savings!
