The under taken from ube News papers of Great Britain, is inferted for the information of the inbabitants of this city, and country, to prevent their being impofed upon by counterfeit forts of this mof valuable medicine, which are but 100 frequently imo ported and expofed 10 fale. THERE EAS at the Gttings at Guildhall, London, on W' the Saturday lord the chief 13 juftice of Rider, December a c.ule 1755, was wherein tried Williams before and Cluer Dicey and Company, of Bow- Church Yard, London, original proprietors of Dr. Bateman's pectoral drops, were and Jofeph Ruffell, of Queen ftreet, defendant, for the defendant's felling a medicine as and for Dr. Bateman's pelloral drops prepared by the plaintiffs, in bottles fealed in imitation of theirs, and with printed papers refembling thofe which are given by the (aid Diceye and Company, with their true and original Dr.

Bateman's peltora! drops; when, after a full hearing, the jury, without going out of court, found a verdict for the plaintiffs, with damages, befides cofts of fuit: And whereas a former verdict was likewife obtained by them fome time fince, one Thomas Randall, of Breadftreet, for a like complaint: It is hoped thefe profecutions will for the future prevent any more fuch practices, and fully prove to all the world, that the true medicine called Dr. Bateman's peltural dropris fold only at the faid Diceys and Company's wareboufe, at the King's Arms and Boar's Head, directly facing the South door of Bow- Church, in Bow-Courch Yard, next Bow- Lane, Cheapfide, London. But as many town and country (hopkeepers may have bought for fale medicines under the denomination of Dr. pectoral drops, prepared by the faid William and Cluer Dicey and Company, which in fatt never were fo, and may inadvertently attempt to fell the fame by retail or otherwife: This i is therefore to give notice to all fuch thopkeepers, that if any of them thali for the future prefume to fell any medicine whatfoever under the Name of Dr. Bateman's pectoral drops, prepared by the faid William and Cluer Dicey and Company, which thail not have really been prepared by that they will be profecuted for the fame as the law direCts.

And as an encouragement to detect fuch counterfeits, and the venders of them, the proprietors do hereby promile reward of TWENTY POUNDS on conviction of any perfon perfone coonterfeiting thefe drops, their feal and directions, and felling them for the drops prepared by the faid William and Cluer Dicey and Company. N. B. Thefe drops have for more than forty years been univerfally known for curing and giving immediate eafe in all colds, coughs, agues, fevers, fluxes, pitting of blood, pains in the breaft, limbs and joints, in all fits of the gout, rheumatic pains, ftone, gravel and cholick, as is demonftrated in the many inflances of cures performed by them, which may be feen at Chriflopber Mar hall's, at the fign of the Golden Ball, in Areet, and at Samuel Emlen's, at the Golden Heart, in High- Philadelphia----Who are impowered by the proprietors Diceys and KELL, to vend thefe genuine drops wholefale and retail. Of whom may be had the following genuine medicines, viz.

Dr. Hooper's female pills, Dr. Frances's female frengthening elixir, Baron Schwanberg's liquid thell for cure of the Rene and gravel (all publifhed under the king's royal lettere patent.) The true Daffey's elixir, Betton's true and genuine Britith oil, Dr, Bateman's golden and plain fpirits of fcurvy-grafe, Dr. Radcliffe', famous purging elixir, Dr. Stoughton's great ftomachick elixir, Boftock's purging elixir, Schwanberg's univerfal powder for the (peedy and certain cure of moft kinds of fevers, Squire's grand elixir, Chafe's balfamick pille, Dr.

Anderfon's, or the true Scots pilli, Dr. general cordial, right French Hungary water, fine double die filled lavender water, fine Britith flour of muftard-feed, Drugs, chymical and galenical preparatione, with molt forte of oils and colours for painting, glafs of molt fizes, dye tuff, are fold wholefale or retail, at the lowed prices, by the aforefaid Chriftopher Marfhall. September 13, 1756. 10 be fold by way of publick vendue, by the fubfcribers, at the houfe late of John Dagworthy, decealed, in Maidenbead, in Hunterdon county, on Friday the fift day of October next, the plantation whereon the faid Dagworthy lived, belonging to his eftate, containing about 180 acres, having on it a good dwellinghoufe, good barn, and two pretty large orchards, and a good part of them grafted fruit, with near 70 actes of cho ce good cleared meadow, the upland very rich and fertile, end is very fuitable for keeping a large flock, and the grazing Alfo to be fold at the fame time and place, belonging to the fame eftate, a large number of horfer, cattle and hogs, a waggon, cart, ploughs, harrows, and fundry her farming utenfils likewife a quantity of houthold goods, fuch as feat her -bede, a Cole of drawers, looking glalfes, pewter difhee, piates, brafs kettles, iron pots, tables, chairs, and many other things too tedious to mention; alfo a large quantity of wheat and rye in flacks, a large quantity of very good Englifh hay, well cured, e'even acres of Indian corn, a Negroe man, and woman, and a Negroe boy, about 10 years old. Aifo to be fold, at Trenton, on Monday the 4th day of Often ber next, belonging to the fame elate, three dwelling-boufes, and late belonging to them, one of the houfes being very large and (pacious, built with ftone, two fterica high, with four large rooms on a floor, a wide entry through it, with a kitchen, table, and a good garden: The other two houfen being wooden buildings, and all of them fituate in the moft publick part of Trenton.

And alfo feveral lots of land belonging to faid eftate, whereon are no buildings. In cafe any perfon thould incline to purchafe the plantation, of any of the houles, lots, or Negroes, before thefabove vendues, they may, upon applying to the fubfcribers, bave an opportunity of buying them upon reafonable terme. The conditions: of the vendues to be known at the times and places abovefaid. All perfons indebted to the faid eftate, are defired to pay the fame, in order to enable the executors to pay the debts due from the teftator and thofe perfone that have any demande the faid eftate, are defired to bring or fend them to the fubicribers to be fettled, who will difcharge them as foon as they can raile ney out of the faid eftate fufficient.
