Figure salon files bankruptcy NASHVILLE (AP) Kelly Lyn Figure Salons have filed for bankruptcy under Chapter II which will permit the franchises to remain open while owners work out a debt payment plan, an attorney says. C. Kinian Cosner, a Nashville attorney, said Tuesday that the company intends to reorganize and remain in business. Cosner filed Chapter 11 petitions on Saturday for Kelly Lyn Franchise company, Kelly Lyn Management and 16 spa subsidiaries. Cosner conceded, however, that the company will have to trim its operation to pay about $600,000 in unsecured debts and $90,000 in secured debts "They're going to have to cut back," Cosner said.

"But these people'sjmemberships will be honored by other Kelly Lyns in the area or with reciprocal agreements'with other salons." There are four Kelly Lyn salons in Nashville and there are franchises in other Tennessee cities as well as Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia. Lipford, 25, of Lenoir, N.C., were arrested on the 72-acre fair site Monday after the bills had been passed during a two-hour period. About $1,500 in fake money was found on the men or at various locations on the fair site, Bondurant said. "The front of the note was not very deceptive and when the passer gave the bill to a girl at the Lazy-L Restaurant, she caught it," he said. Bondurant said the seizure was the biggest of its kind in connection with the fair. "We've had a few passes, but this is the first amount with any significance to it," he said.

The rule, issued under the Carter" administration and approved by Congress, required that beginning with 1983 models, some cars be equipped with the automatic restraints to protect passengers in crashes. By 1984, all new autos would have required them.
