Anita Morris, nominated as best featured actress for her role in the musical, told her tale of woe Tuesday after learning that the Standards and Practices Committee at CBS found her on-stage undulations a problem. "It's no problem for me... .It's a piece of choreography," said the red-haired actress who plays the mistress of the musical's star, Raul Julia. "My grandmother would love it. "I was heartbroken" on learning of the CBS decision, said Miss Morris. "I'm a theater person. It's the dream of a lifetime to appear on the Tonys." 'Annie' breads elbow TRENTON, N.J. (AP) Aileen Quinn,the 10-year-old freckle-faced star of the movie "Annie," is expected to remain hospitalized for several days after suffering a Jsroken elbow in a weekend bicycle accident. Aileen was selected from 8,000 girls who. auditioned for the movie's title role. Aileen's family lives in Lower Makefield, Pa , near the Mercer Hospital. Police in Lower. Makefielcf said they had no report of the accident. -S' Freak accident burns actors LOS ANGELES ( AP) It's a case of the show must go on for three "Love Boat" actors burned in a freak accident in Turkey involving hydrogen-filled balloons. Swigert runs for Congress -DENVER (AP) Former astronaut Jack Swigert, now running for Congress, says he will finish radiation treatments June 15 for a cancerous tumor in his nose, and his doctors expect him to make a complete recovery. At a hews conference Tuesday, Swigert said he was making the disclosure because he believed voters in Colorado's 6th District were entitled to information relating to his ability to serve in Congress. , "I have experienced incredible personal growth as a result of this brush with cancer," he said. . Stoessel Jr. has warned that it would be "a great misfortune for both sides" if the United States and China cannot settle their differences over arms sales to Taiwan. He made the statement Tuesday in a speech to the National Council for U.S.-China trade a nonprofit organization of U.S. firms regarding the sale of $60 million in aircraft spare parts to Taiwan as part of a long-standing supply arrangement with the government in Taipei. The administration has approved the sale and China is opposed to U.S. arms transactions with Taiwan's Nationalist Chinese government. Figure salon files bankruptcy NASHVILLE (AP) Kelly Lyn Figure Salons have filed for bankruptcy under Chapter II which will permit the franchises to remain open while owners work out a debt payment plan, an attorney says. , C. Kinian Cosner, a Nashville attorney, said Tuesday that the company intends to reorganize and remain in business. Cosner filed Chapter 11 petitions on Saturday for Kelly Lyn Franchise company, Kelly Lyn Management Co., and 16 spa subsidiaries. - Cosner conceded, however, that the company will have to trim its operation to pay about $600,000 in unsecured debts and $90,000 in secured debts . " ; "They're going to have to cut back," Cosner said. "But these people'sjmemberships will be honored by other Kelly Lyns in the area or with reciprocal agreements'with other salons." Fair gets fake money KNOXVILLE (AP) A preliminary hearing is scheduled June 8 for two North Carolina men accused of passing 30 counterfeit $20 bills at the World's Fair, officials said. T.J. Bondurant, head of the Secret Service's Knoxville office, said Tuesday that Kevin E. Jones, 23, and Evan S. Lipford, 25, of Lenoir, N.C., were arrested on the 72-acre fair site Monday after the bills had been passed during a two-hour period. '' About $1,500 in fake money was found on the men or at various locations on the fair site, Bondurant said. "The front of the note was not very deceptive and when the passer gave the bill to a girl at the Lazy-L Restaurant, she caught it," he said. . f Bondurant said the seizure was the biggest of its kind in connection with the fair. Court restores air bag rule WASHINGTON ( AP) The Reagan administration has been ordered to reconsider its decision to throw out a rule requiring that new cars be equipped with air bags or automatic seat : belts. ' r- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia on Tuesday termed the administration's action in junking the rule last October "arbitrary and capricious," but noted the case . involved sensitive issues surrounding . a "politically controversial safety standard. " ' The rule, issued under the Carter" administration and approved by Congress, required that beginning with 1983 models, some cars be equipped with the automatic restraints to protect passengers in crashes. By 1984, all new autos would have required them. Lowell R.
