Athletic Awards Presented At Science Club Luncheon At the graduates' luncheon of the Science Ladles' club of the University of Manitoba Saturday, at Moore's, covers were laid for 38 guests. Miss Marie Baragar, retiring lady stick, proposed the toast to the King. The toast to the graduates wasgiven by Miss Eileen Stoddart and replied to by Miss Anna Bredt. Miss Margaret Rice proposed the toast to the faculty, following which Mrs. W. Leach, retiring honorary presi dent, spoke briefly.

After the prophecies for the graduates were read, Miss Dinnna Loranger, president of athletics, made the awards. J. Lindal The responsibility of citizenship was the theme of an address given by Mrs, W. J. Lindal, of Winnipeg, before members of the University Women's club of Ottawa last Monday afternoon in the Chateau Laurier. Mrs.

Lindal Is a former executive member of the Federation of University Women, and for several years was on the Unemployment Commission. She emphasized the necessity of avoiding abuse of public men and of establishing authority for any form of just criticism. The speaker was Introduced by Mrs. A. G.

Mc Lachlan. Later the members were received by Princess Alice, wife of the Governor General of Canada, end by Princess Juliana of The Netherlands. Princess Juliana expressed her pleasure for the hon orary membership accorded her in the club. RS. J.
