PAGE 19 A Silhouette For All Ages Is Fashions Theme Song In The New Evening Picture By MAUDE ALLOWAY Fashion Editor LIBEPiTY and license po hand in hand in the new fall modes. There is strong insistence on the corseted look with the silhouette that is slim and fitted, often coupled with dresses in draped treatments, both of which apply to the daytime and evening picture. Fashion favors many types of drapes, those of side and back giving particular strength to the theme. Tunics may flare over slim foundations but even here attention is focussed on the waist line which is scarcely more than the span of a hand. aist away with balanced fulness" is a slogan of one of the lead I ing couturiers.

There is the new apron silhouette effected by triple tiers at the hipline. There is the beltless waistline advo cated by Piguet that introduces the gored princess sil houette. There is Lanvin's military vogue with double breasted buttons on a princess outline. And the double swing skirt with two gored flounces will make the wasp waist even tinier. There are richly diversified groups of fabrics developed in the new collection that sometimes lend themselves to a fan of pleats at the back, accenting the bustle tendency.

Low placed flounces are also shown and bodice trimmings in bows or pockets at the bustline are other fashion fancies. Beauty and grace complement the evening mode. POOR eyesight can cause you to miss little things that may mean your position may prevent you from concentrating on important work before you. Young men accept positions and find themselves dismissed or without promotion. Ambition and willingness to work 'will not make up for an eye deficiency. The tragedy is, that often the mqn is ignorant of the lack in his eye efficiency. Nearly all a man's life must be spent in a maze of work at close range.

He is using three times more nervous energy for near work than is used when looking at distance. Be sure your eyes are performing to the best of their ability, giving 100', service. Give them a periodic, thorough optometric examination. them "todaY 5gi J. F.
