WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27, 1927 19 PRICES ADVANCE ON BIG EXPORT TRADE Wheat Sales of Over 000 and Rye 1,000,000 Reported at Seaboard Liverpool market closed to up with exchange at $4.83, this figures at per bushel for May, for July and for October wheat. Spreads were: No. 1 Nor. wheat, over; No.

1 over; No. under; 4, 19 under; No. 5, under; No. 6, 42 under; No. 2 c.w.

Receipte: 618 cars, wheat 501, eats 27, barley 52, flax 81, rye 7, Last year 221 cars wheat. The market yielded a little to profttaking in the final trading. Net results were up to off. Latest reports from the seaboard were of nearly 2,000,000 Manitobas worked for export. The market was strong and active throughout the whole course of trade.

May was exceptionally strong. There was good buying in this month by seaboard interests and considerable short covering. Offerings were liberal on the apturns and trade on large scale. The distant months were not as active, being held in check by the improving crop weather in both spring and winter wheat country. New York reported sales of 750.000 wheat early in the day and 500.000 rye.

It was also stated that fully 1.000.000 rye was worked overnight. Winnipeg receipts have been quite large the past few days. The movement from the Interior which was held back prior to the opening of navigation row again in full swing. Over 000,000 bushels of grain have moved out from the lake terminals and there plenty of storage space available. In the coarse grains prices were Arm to strong in sympathy with wheat.

Reports from the United States indicate much reduced oat average. Old stocks are fair but not burdensome. There to export demand for barley as well as rye and May barley was very strong. also July rye. The fax market has a better tone.

Argentine markets are firm and Europe da absorbing heavy shipments at vancing prices. Flax has had a long dull period and may do better from now on. It was another big day in the cash wheat market. All grades were in good demand at premiums and spreads higher. Offerings were fairly liberal and large volume of business tansacted.

Chicago Journal Commerce--With only four days left before longs and shorts must uncover their hand as to May contract deliveries, those who have no outstanding contracta are apparently keepAng out of the market, while longs and shorts evidently have entered an endurance contest. The market so far this week has been abeotutely indifferent to newe, and there la nothing to indicate that it will reflect anything but pit litiona the balance ef the week. Leading local shipper said outside marketa have again entered into competition with Chicago and are offering corn to the cast below Chicago parity. This particularly significant, he says, shows they still have corn to sell. LOGAN-There la no infation in wheat prices and this suggests advisability of constructive position.

-Believe foreign requirements and uncertainties of growing crop condilions warrant adherence to long side. BENNETT-Think broader cash inter.
