To the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Miss Alice Druitt, Teulon, the bride entered the church with her father. She wore a gown of white flat crepe combined with ivory satin, with a regulation An heirloom of family. CUNNINGHAM-BUDDEN St. Matthew's church was the scene! of the wedding, Aug. 19, of Dorothy Lucy, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.

To the strains of Mendelssohn's Wedding March, played by Mr. W. McKean, the bride entered the church with her father, preceded by the matron of honor. The bride wore an oyster georgette and silver point lace gown with veil of heavily embroidered silk net and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of Sunset roses and lilies of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs.

Burrer, wore an orchid taffeta gown trimmed with French flowers in tel shades and a French hat to match. She carried Ophelia roses and mauve sweet peas. Soft music was played throughout the ceremony and during the signing of the register Miss M. Meisner sang Beloved, Is Morn. The bridegroom was attended by George Budden, brother of the bride, and the ushers were Messrs.

A. and G. Winslow. After the ceremony A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Immediately following the reception the bride donned her travelling costume of powder blue French embroidered georgette with small felt hat to match and grey kasha cloth coat.

Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham motored to Minneapolis and points south. The bride's mother wore a gown of navy blue georgette with a closefitting model felt hat. A corsage of and lily of the valley completed the costume.

Brussels apts. AITKEN-RODWAY Maryland United church was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday afternoon at 2.45 o'clock, when Doris Hilda, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rodway, Beverly became the bride of Robert S.

Aitken, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Aitken. Rev.

Geo. L. Waite officiated. The church was prettily decorated with ferns, palms and cut flowers. To the strains of the Lohengrin Bridal Chorus, played by Mr.

F. Oldfield, the bride entered the church with her father, who gave her in marriage. Very charming she looked in a French gown of powder blue georgette, the bodice showing rows of fine pin tucks and the skirt made with apron front, falling in soft drapes on either side and embellished with cut- embroidery. Her hat was a smart bonnet model In matching georgette, underlined with shell pink. She carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and valley lilies.

The bridesmaid, Miss May Hooper, chose a dainty gown of daffodil yellow georgette combined with white, large georgette picture hat in yellow and white. She carried a bouquet of Columbia roses and orchid sweet peas. Mr. Jas. Kinnear acted As best man, and the ushers were Messrs.

W. N. Bruce sang My Prayer. After the ceremony an informal reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Later Mr.

and Mrs. Aitken left on their honeymoon for the Lake of the Woods, the bride travelling in becoming frock of two-toned beize crepe, with smart wrap cinnamon brown tricotine, with collar of moleskin, and model felt hat to match. Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. Aitken will reside at 730 Goulding st.

COOK--CHIEF A quiet wedding took place at Christ church, Selkirk, Saturday, August 20th at 8.00 o'clock p.m., when Ellen Chief, of Scanterbury, became the bride of William Cook, of Libau. The bridesmaid was Artn Gum, and Thomas Walker attended the groom. The Rev. L. Swalwell officiated.

LLOYD-HATTON St. Jude's Anglican church was on Wednesday evening, August 17, the scene of a very pretty wedding when Winnifred Hatton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Hatton, was united in marriage to Frank Lloyd, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Thos. Lloyd, the Rev. George Horrobin officiating. The church was decorated with palms, ferns and baskets gladioli, snapdragon and other garden bloom. As the guests and friends of the young couple were entering the church, Mrs.

George Horrobin played soft wedding music ou the organ. At the appointed hour, preceded by the choir, the wedding procession entered the church, the maid honor and bridesmaid leading, followed by the bride and her father, and lastly the tiny train bearer. The bride wore a gown of white crepe back charmeuse satin, with lace panels and bouffant skirt. Her veil of silk tulle was held in place with a coronet of orange blassom, and she carried a shower bouquet of Sunburst roses and lily of the valley. The maid of honor, Miss Winnie MeNeil, and the bridesmaid, Miss Trixie Woolley, wore gowns of taffeta and georgette, with bouffant style skirt and picture hats to match, the former choosing peacock blue and the latter mauve.

Their bouquets were of pink gladioli and mauve sweet peas. The little train bearer, Miss Joan Poomes, wore a white frilled and blue ribbons and bonnet to, match. During the signing of the register, the choir sang wedding hymn, Strength and Stay." The groom was attended by his brother, Fred, and the ushers were Geoffrey Hatton, brother of the bride and William Tozer. After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home. Later in the evening Mr.

and Mrs. Lloyd left for the Pacific coast. The bride's travelling costume was of Princess Mary blue flat crepe and a grey travelling coat, with hat to match. She also wore a platinum fox fur. The girls from the accounting department of Winnipeg Electric Co. presented Miss Mills with a set of pale green and white crystal table glasses and cut- glass flower basket, while other friends presented her with separate cups and saucers. Another useful as well as ornamental gift was 8 kitchen shelf set of cream pottery. Tea was served from a table decorated with streamers of two shades of mauve, centred with garden blooms of mauve and purple tones. The same shade of mauve was repeated in wisteria blossoms which hung from the silver chandeller over the tea table.
