Emerson S. Rohe KEYSER, W. Staley Rohe, 48, a disabled veteran of World War died yesterday in the 1 S. Government Hospital at Perry: Point. where he had been patient several years.

He was born in Moorefield January 16, 1870, the son of the late Captain John J. and Mrs. Sallie (Harness) Chipley. He served several years as prosecuting attorney of Hardy county. His wife, former Miss Bessie Seymour, died several years ago.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Victor Chancellor, Drumright. two Frank sons, J. Edwin of Chipley, Washington, and. one brother, J.

D. Chipley, Moorefield, and two grandsons, Lambert. Services WHITMER, W. Va. Services were held yesterday in the Whitmer Methodist Church for Henry Ford Lambert, 24, who died Friday morning in a Weston hospital where he had been a patient for the past two years.

Her husband, the late William DeVore, well known groceryman. died two years ago. Mrs. DeVore is survived by one son, Russell DeVore, Westernport, and one half-brother, Ernest Harden, Hyndman, and one grandson, Russell DeVore, Westernport.

Schoppert Rites Services for Mrs. Gertrude Copp, Schoppert, 69, Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of here, who died Saturday, April 25, were held last Tuesday in the Wore Funeral Home, by the pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church chere to which she belonged. Edgar 'GRANTSVILLE William am Edgar, 60, Grantsville, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he had been a patient for the past 17 days. He was a son of the late William H. and Adeline (Pysell) Edgar and was born in of Pittsburgh, World February, 4, 1888.

A veteran he was employed at Gortner's Garage in Grantsville. He was a member of the Accident Lutheran Church. Besides his widow, Mrs. Dora (Kahl) Edgar, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Oney Brenneman Mrs.

Coder, 74, BERLIN, veteran Somerset county educator, died at his home here April 30. Death came suddenly to the leader in Somerset education circles. He been in fairly good health unhad til recently. Born on May 17, 1873, he was a son Cober. of He Aaron was and educated in the Lucinda (Brant) ol Somerset county and attended California State Teachers College.

He did post graduate work Columbia University, University of the Philippines and Penn mercantile State. Mr. Cober was in the business here for a short time in 1917. He Brothersvalley began his in career 1891 in he accepted a position one-room Flickinger School. In 1908, he accepted a position as one of the supervising principals of schools! in the Philippine Islands where he was stationed at Manila.

He returned from the Phlippines in 1915 and was supervising principal of the schools in Brothersvalley until 1917.1 For 20 years he was assistant of Somerset Superintend- county! schools, serving under John H. Pike, William I. ents Kreichman and Guy Hartman. He retired from active school work July 1, 1938. Mr.

Cober since has been active in local and county school admit istrative affairs. Recently he was elected president of the count: of education and has been board of the Berlin-Brotherspresident, Township Joint District for several years.
